Grootboom & Sons is a South African television drama series which revolves around the internal squabbles of a family-run business, when its fate is left in the hands of the wrong sibling.
The series follows an estranged kin in the funeral business, with one sister on her deathbed and the other with her own selfish plans for the family business.
In the series premiere: Vuyo is at death's door, as the family makes plans for the unveiling of her father, while Funeka flees her Cape Town home.
The series stars Sibulele Gcilitshana as Vuyo, Zandile Msutwana as Funeka, Bongile Mantsai as Mbulelo (for Season 1), Thembekile Komani as Mbulelo (for Season 2, Mbasa Msongelo as Zola, Luzuko Nkqeto as MK, Mangi Tebeka as Imani, Neo Mekgwe as Kefilwe and Tabile Tau as Phiri.
Grootboom & Sons is an M-Net Original Production, created and produced for 1Magic by MECA: Marketing and Entertainment Communications Agency and War Child Enterprise.
