William and Mary is a British romantic dramedy television series produced by Granada Television. Its title refers to its two principal characters and is a cultural reference to the reign of the English monarchs William and Mary.
The series originally aired in the UK on ITV from 2003-2005. There are 18 hour-long episodes in three seasons.

Synopsis
William and Mary is a romantic comedy about two people's search for the perfect partner.
Widowed father of two William Shawcross is captivated by the dark-haired divorcee he sees on a dating agency video and rejects all the other candidates.
His first date with mother-of-two Mary Gilcrest isn't a big success, and Mary's mother has her own ideas about the right husband for her daughter.
But can the obvious chemistry between William and Mary overcome the obstacles in their path? Not least their wildly different jobs: she is a midwife and he is an undertaker...
