Chefs in the City is an American television food series produced by Independent Image in which an American chef and an English non-chef go on a quest in Manhattan to find simple yet elegant recipes.
The series originally aired in the USA in 2001.
Chefs in the City premiered in South Africa on DStv's BBC Food channel on Thursday 17 July 2008, at 18h00. Double episodes air back-to-back each week. There are six half-hour episodes in the first season.

Synopsis
Lillian Chou is a successful New York Chef with a a major passion for food. She also knows exactly where to find the best food in her native New York.
Emma Morgan is an Englishwoman with great style, but no idea how to cook anything stylish in the kitchen. She believes a meal at home is anything you can add boiling water to.
This unlikely duo take us on a quest through New York for the secret of fancy yet simple recipes, and quick and easy dishes to make mouths water and knees tremble.
With a mix of New York brashness and English uptightness, Lillian and Emma are Chefs in the City.
