Episode 1
Horseback adventurers Barry Armitage and Joe Dawson are back. They've travelled all the way to Mongolia to compete in the longest toughest horse race in the world: The Mongol Derby.
The race is a recreation of Genghis Khan's vast messenger system and covers 1,000 kilometres of wilderness across the Mongolian steppe. They have only three training days in which to learn the rules, sass out the competition and acclimatise to the scorching heat and wild Mongolian horses.
Barry and Joe soon realise what they are in for, especially after they both lose their horses on the first day of the race.
Episode 2
It's the end of day one of the Mongol Derby, the longest, toughest horse race in the world, and a disastrous combination of error and bad luck has put Barry and Joe at the back of the pack.
If they want to stop eating the other riders' dust the brothers-in-law must learn to adapt to the unpredictable horses and come to grips with the rules of the game.
Episode 3
After choosing to sleep out, Barry and Joe discover they're only 10 kilometres behind the leaders and claw their way back in to the Mongol Derby – the longest, toughest horse race in the world.
But if they choose the wrong horses again, it could mean another major setback and potentially ruin their chances of catching up with the leaders.
Episode 4
It's the fourth day of the Mongol Derby. Many have fallen out of the race and there are only 15 riders left. Barry and Joe have reached the halfway mark and are in 2nd and 3rd position with a real chance to catch up to the leader.
But events soon take a turn for the worse and the duo is forced to split up. The untamed horses, high temperatures and tough Mongolian terrain takes its toll on all the riders and plays havoc on Barry and Joe's chances to win the race.
Episode 5
Barry and Joe have to select the right horses to maintain their chances of winning the race. It's halfway through day 5 of the Mongol Derby. They've completed 14 stages, but the wet weather makes for an uncomfortable ride.
The duo have recovered from being in last place to 2nd and 3rd position, and are about an hour behind leader Craig Egberink. With the Chinese team hot on their heels, they're forced to keep up the grueling pace.
On day six they pay the ultimate price at their first vet check of the day as Barry gets served with a two-hour penalty – a delay that could ultimately cost them the race.
Episode 6
It's the last stage of the Mongol Derby and the sprint for victory has begun. With only a few hours between them and the leaders, Barry and Joe take a gamble and choose the wildest horses at the horse stations to ensure a flat-out pace to the finish line.
Will this risk be worth the danger they face on the last stretch of the race? And can they still win it?
