Season 1
Jam Alley Crew vs Crew is a South African dance reality competition series produced by Melody Xaba as a spin-off of Jam Alley which consists of two crews consisting of five friends each competing against each other to win a R10,000 prize.
The series premiered on SABC1 on Friday 20 May 2011, at 18h30. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
Season 1 aired on SABC1 from 20 May, 2011 to 23 March, 2012, on Fridays - initially at 18h30 and later at 18h00. New episodes broadcast weekly, although the show was frequently interrupted by sport.
Season 1
This show is a new reloaded version of Jam Alley called Jam Alley Crew vs Crew. The show introduces a fresh face as the new presenter, Siyabonga Metane, the popular hip hop artist better known to his fans as Slikour.
Jam Alley Crew vs Crew comes complete with a brand new look, new set, new format and exciting new games for the contestants. There are now two crews (teams) consisting of five friends going up against each other.
The audience is also split into two groups and assigned to cheer for a specific crew. The winning crew stands a chance to win a R10,000 cash prize.
The format of the show is divided into three main segments: Guest Performance, Performance Challenges (karaoke, freestyle and dance style), and Buzzer Quiz.
There are lots of prizes for members of the audience too.
