Synopsis
Life of Riley is based around newlywed couple Maddy and Jim and their dysfunctional extended family circle of children, step-children, step-siblings, half-siblings, ex-partners and in-laws.
In this series, Maddy finds a pregnancy test which she is convinced belongs to one of her stepchildren – but when she eventually tracks down the owner, their identity comes as a big surprise.
Also, in the aftermath of the family move, the cat has vanished, half their possessions are missing, and a crate is doubling as the baby's cot.
In the middle of it all, Maddy and Jim struggle to get used to their new house, their new neighbours, and each other's children.
The theme music is a cover version of The Lightning Seeds' song, "The Life of Riley".
