Synopsis
Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch, a new reality series from VH1, 51 Minds and JUMA, follows Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco as he steps off the football field and onto the dating field.
Ochocinco is one of the NFL's most dynamic, talented and explosive players. A fan favourite, he's been selected to the Pro Bowl six times and been named All-Pro 3 times.
Ochocinco isn't only celebrated for his impressive skills on the field - he's also revered as one of the NFL's most beloved bad boys.
From his controversial end zone celebration dances to his mischievous antics between plays, he's quickly become the NFL's superstar; and with new teammate Terrell Owens, fans should get ready to hold on tight.
Now having established himself as one of the best in the game he's ready to take the focus off the field and put it on his love life. At 32 years old Ocho wants to find the kind of girl he can be proud have on his arm and in his cheering section in the stands.
Ocho's fans mean the world to him so has agreed to take VH1 up on their offer to televise his love life so that fans watch as he pursues his number 1.
True to his larger than life personality Ocho doesn't do anything small - if he's going to do a dating show it's got to be bigger, hotter, louder and more outrageous than anything we've seen before. So, he's breaking all the traditional rules of dating and going with what he knows best - football.
The women on his show will be put in a head to head competitive dating tournament. Just like in football, before you make the team you have to prove you rank high enough to make the rooster. So, before these woman get a chance to play in Ocho's tournament they are going to have to show him and a few of his NFL colleagues what they're made of in a mini tryout camp.
The competition to make his roster is going to be tough because he's not settling for second string and to guarantee that, he's starting with something we've never seen before - 85 girls.
The 85 hopefuls will be put through Ocho's "dating training camp" and will be cut if they aren't the type of girl he can see himself with. He will evaluate all 85 girls' performances where only 20 will make the team. The 20 girls on the team will date Ocho in The Ultimate Catch.
Dating in Ocho's tournament will follow a bracket style competition. The girls will be ranked by Ocho in the first episode after he's had a chance to spend some time with them.
The girls are "matched up" based on their ranking and will competitively date based on those "matchups". At the end of each episode the winners from each "matchup" will receive a "game ball" from Ocho and move on to the next round of the tournament and the loser will be sent home.
In the end, the championship date between the two remaining women will result in Ochocinco awarding his girl the coveted Championship Ring and his heart.
