The Model Agency is a British observational documentary series produced by Maverick Television which offers an intimate and revealing look at the very private world of models, agents and bookers, using a multi-camera rig to reveal the realities of daily life in one of the world's most glamorous and secretive industries.
The series aired in the UK on Channel Four from 23 February to 6 April, 2011. There are seven hour-long episodes in one season.
The Model Agency premiered in South Africa on DStv's BBC Entertainment channel on Thursday 14 June 2012, at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly.
Synopsis
The Model Agency is an observational documentary series that explores the business of beauty through the most exceptional and aspirational of industries – modelling.
This documentary series provides unprecedented access to world-renowned model agency Premier Model Management, and will be following in the footsteps of The Family and One Born Every Minute by placing a multi-camera documentary rig within a fascinating new precinct – a successful and high-profile commercial business.
A global brand and top British agency, Premier was founded by Carole White and her brother Chris Owen. Leaders in their field, they have discovered and nurtured some of the world's greatest models, including Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford.
Entertaining, powerful and pioneering, they are a formidable team who are unapologetic in their pursuit of perfection.
