Season 1
Grimm is an American police procedural fantasy drama television series created by Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf inspired by Grimms' Fairy Tales which follows Homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt of the Portland Police Bureau who learns he is descended from a line of guardians known as Grimms, charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world called Wesen.
Throughout the series, he must battle against an assortment of dangerous creatures, with help from his friend Monroe (who is a reformed creature) and his partner, Detective Hank Griffin.
Nick Burkhardt (David Guintoli) thought he prepared himself for the realities of working as a homicide detective until he started seeing things he couldn't quite explain.
When his ailing Aunt Marie (guest star Kate Burton) arrives, Nick's life turns upside down when she reveals they are descendants of an elite group of hunters, also known as "Grimms," who fight to keep the balance of humanity safe from the supernatural creatures of the world.
As Nick digs deeper into her past, he realises that he will have to shoulder the responsibility of his ancestors - and contend with a larger-than-life mythology of the Brothers Grimm that is now all too real.
Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Reggie Lee and Sasha Roiz also star.
Grimm is a production of Universal Media Studios and Hazy Mills Productions. Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner serve as executive producers, Jim Kouf and David Greenwalt are the creators/executive producers and Marc Buckland is the director.
