Season 1
The Xtra Factor is a South African version of the international format which takes a behind the scenes look at the SABC1 reality talent music competition The X Factor, featuring extra auditions, bootcamp performances and judges' houses performances and behind-the-scenes footage and interviews.
The show is shot entirely on location in Durban. Viewers can catch some acts not seen on the main show, and more footage and interviews from those that were.
The Xtra Factor has its own presenters: actor and singer Rory Booth and the model and presenter Wandile Chamane, who host the fun filled show, getting the first reactions from the contestants and the judges.
Together they present more behind the scenes action from the judges' houses stage of the singing competition, showcasing personalities of the judges and contestants and covering all of the backstage action and gossip.
The Xtra Factor is executive produced by Duncan Irvine and Kee-Leen Irvine for Rapid Blue.
