Season 1
A Taste of My Life is a British food-themed talk show produced by Doghouse Films and hosted by food writer Nigel Slater in which he interviews a variety of celebrity guests and gets them to share their personal food memories and recipes.
The series originally premiered in the UK on BBC1 on 4 March, 2006. The third season premiered in the UK on BBC2 on Monday 26 May, 2008. A fourth season has been filmed.
A Taste of My Life originally premiered in South Africa on DStv's BBC Food channel on Tuesday 11 December 2007, at 18h30. The first season ended on 15 January, 2008.
A rebroadcast of Season 1 premiered on BBC Food on Wednesday 13 August 2008, at 20h30. Double episodes air back-to-back each week. There are seven half-hour episodes in the first season (including the pilot, with Julia Sawalha).

Synopsis
Join cookery writer Nigel Slater, one of the UK's best-loved food writers, as he explores the lives of celebrity guests through their personal food memories and recipes.
In each episode Nigel chats to a celebrity guest who reveals all about their lives and food preferences.
Amongst others, Janet Street-Porter recollects some of her best and worst foods; actress Vanessa Redgrave reminisces over the food of her youth, while revealing some of the pressures of growing up within a performing family; and Max Beesley reveals how the loss of his mother led to his decision to take on a gritty role in medical drama, Bodies.
Some of the delicious recipes include lobster with cheese sauce, gruyere and tarragon souffle and chicken cassoulet.
