Season 1
Top Design is an American reality competition television series produced by the Bravo Cable network which features 12 aspiring interior designers who compete in a series of challenges to win cash and receive a spot in New York's Designer showcases.
The series originally premiered in the USA on Bravo on 31 January, 2007. A second season will premiere on Bravo in the third quarter of 2008.
Top Design premiered in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Series channel on Friday 27 June 2008, at 19h00. There are 10 hour-long episodes in the first season.

Synopsis
In the battle for a chance to start their own design firm and a spot in one of New York's finest designer showcases, 12 interior designers, artists and architects compete weekly in the extreme design challenges for the top design title.
One by one the contestants are sent home, but not without due praise and criticism, compliments of judges Jonathan Adler, Margaret Russell and Kelly Wearstler.
Hosted by Todd Oldham, Top Design takes a behind the scenes look at the interior design business at the most competitive level.
Filmed in Los Angeles, the contestants live in a superiorly designed loft, exchanging some criticism of their own.
The high pressure of the extreme challenges, coupled with the creative personalities and egos, provide a staple of competition reality.
