Season 2
Bill Gallagher's glittering drama set in a Victorian department store returns for a second season on BBC Entertainment.
When, at the end of Season 1, Moray jilted Katherine and chose Denise, Lord Glendenning's vengeance was swift. He took ownership of The Paradise and Moray was cast out.
For a year, Denise and Moray were separated. Moray worked in Paris while, in the wake of the scandal, and for reasons that remain a mystery to her, Denise was permitted to stay at The Paradise. Ripped apart the moment their love was declared, Denise has only Moray's letters and her brave determination to help her survive.
Meanwhile Lord Glendenning and Katherine vanished from the city...
Now, a year later, The Paradise is struggling to survive without its charismatic owner, Moray and Lord Glendenning has instructed his agent to sell The Paradise.
When unforeseen forces bring Moray back, he and Denise are delighted to be reunited, but their elation is fleeting as the shock arrival of Katherine and her new husband Tom Weston sends everybody spinning.
Once the charismatic owner of England's first department store, Moray now finds himself manager for the new owners, Katherine Glendenning and Tom Weston.
Denise and Moray join forces to try and reclaim their dream of The Paradise, but Katherine and Tom prove worthy opponents.
While Denise's ambitions flourish and her star burns even brighter, Moray finds himself drawn into a dangerous deal of deception that could endanger everything he holds dear.
Increasingly frustrated by the limitations imposed on women in Victorian society, Denise finds herself at odds with the man she loves and both are forced to wrestle with what their hearts truly desire.
In the meantime, Miss Audrey, no longer content with the status of her relationship with Edmund, is pushed into doing something about it.
