Season 2
Damon Wayans is Michael Kyle, a Connecticut family man who married his high school sweetheart, Janet (Tisha Campbell-Martin) and had three kids. While Michael made a living as a delivery man, Janet stayed at home.
Now, Janet is a stock market whiz working full-time at an online trading company. His 14-year-old son, Junior (George Gore II), idolises gangster rap stars. His moody adolescent daughter Claire's (Jazz Raycole in Season 1 and Jennifer Freeman from Seasons 2-5) hobbies are asking for money and giving Michael grief, and his 4-year-old, Kady (Parker McKenna Posey), speaks fluent Spanish - which she learned from the family maid, Rosa, who loves the kids and hates Michael.
To top it off, Michael has to endure marriage counselling from Dr. Boucher (Wendell Pierce), a lecherous therapist who has the hots for Janet.
As he teaches his three children some of life is lessons, he does so with his own brand of wisdom, discipline and humour. Janet is a caring mother to their three children and knows how to maintain that fine balance between taking care of their home, building her career and trading punch lines with her husband.
Sometimes it seems like, even without their asking, Dad knows ahead of time what they might need, and he's only too happy to provide direction - often to their chagrin.
On a quest for a "traditional" family, Michael is a not-so-modern guy living in a very modern world.
