Season 2
Flippen cool trailer-park trash Corne and Twakkie return for a second season of South African comedy with their Most Amazing Show.
The two mullet mustachioed 1980's time-warped guys describe the show as being a fruit salad of fun and introduce some changes to the format. The show is now a half hour instead of an hour - according to Corne an hour long show would end past Twakkie's bedtime.
Features from the first season that will be back include The Road Trip entitled Finding Marna wherein a documentary film crew follow Corne and Twakkie on an epic adventure to find out what happened to Corne's Mamma Marna. Corne will still dish out love advice in The Love Captain and they'll also still be hanging out with celeb guests.
As for how the two mishaps found each other - they first met in a trailer park in 1978 but their paths split soon after.
While growing up they bumped into each other in various trailer parks. Their destinies were always intertwined and in 1990 they finally agreed to hit the road on an adventure with little more in common than struggling childhoods and an irrepressible love for the ladies.
Despite Corne's high-handed dominance, Twakkie's always been in awe of Corne's divine sexual virtuosity and when still together five years later, Corne persuaded Twakkie to take to the stage and help him spread the word to the needy and take them to the top.
The two travelled South Africa, performng at venues across the country and built up a cult following, which inspired the lights, camera and action of the Tv show.
Corne has this to say about getting a second season: “Well if anyone is crazy enough to give us a second season then hold onto your flippen faceballs 'cos anything can and will happen. See you on the other side of fame.”
Guests for the season include actress Kim Engelbrecht, DJ Fresh (5fm's Drive Time DJ), Wonderbra model Lieschen Botes, stand-up comic Chris Forest and actor Kenneth Nkosi.
The Most Amazing Show was created, written and directed by Louw Venter and Rob van Vuuren. The show was produced by Joanne Levitan and Fiona Summers for Pandamonium Productions. Music is by Nathan Redpath.
