Season 2
90210 is an American teen drama television series developed by Rob Thomas, Jeff Judah and Gabe Sachs. It is the fourth series in the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise created by Darren Star.
This reinvented series looks at life through the eyes of Annie Wilson and her brother Dixon, whose first day at West Beverly Hills High School leaves no doubt that they're not in their hometown of Kansas anymore.
The series aired in the USA on The CW from 2 September, 2008 to 13 May, 2013. There are 114 hour-long episodes in five seasons.
90210 premiered in South Africa on M-Net on Thursday 8 January 2009, at 19h30. It was moved to DStv's Vuzu channel for Season 3, to M-Net Series for Season 4 and to M-Net Series Showcase (simulcast in HD) for Season 5. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
Season 2 premiered on M-Net on Thursday 1 April 2010, at 19h30. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 22 episodes in the second season.
Season 2
A lot has changed in Beverly Hills over the past summer. Some friendships have solidified, while others have been destroyed in the aftershocks of the earthquake that was prom night.
Some romances have bloomed, while others have wilted or died on the vine. Some characters have struggled in an effort to be understood, while others have done everything within their power to conceal who they are...and the horrible things they have done.
Season 2 of 90210 focuses on our group as they begin their all-important Junior year.
They'll go through all the ordinary teenage struggles and triumphs - crushes, sexual discovery, academic pressure, evolving friendships, shunning and isolation, love and relationships, family issues, SATs, STDs, a desire to fit in, a desire to stand out, fear and humiliation, joy and exultation - but they'll do so in the extraordinary world of LA.
In this world of movie stars and overnight success, glamour and glitz, surfing and sunshine, the American dream is writ large in the Hills, yet failure could come around any corner of the Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
We'll follow Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord), the well-meaning but delightfully narcissistic rich girl with a heart of cubic zirconium; Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes), the gifted, artistic drama queen whose personal life is as dramatic as any role she could hope to play; and Silver (Jessica Stroup), the outspoken free spirit who marches to the beat of her own drum machine.
Then there's Annie (Shenae Grimes), the good girl from Kansas who has gotten a bit lost in the land of Oz; Dixon (Tristan Wilds), her charming, good-natured brother who adapts easily to any challenging situation and yet is still struggling to find his own voice; Navid (Michael Steger), whose geeky charm makes all the Blaze girls swoon; and Liam (Matt Lanter) the troubled New York transplant who abhors the decadent materialistic world of Beverly Hills.
We'll also meet Teddy (Trevor Donovan), an affable golden boy with movie star lineage.
At the heart of the show is this clique of teenagers, their agonies and their victories. We'll also have an opportunity to get to know the people who mean a lot to them: their parents, their teachers and their gorgeous but devious older sisters.
Season 2 will be rooted in character-driven drama. There will be comedy, pathos, joie de vivre and sturm and drang, not to mention surfing, horse races, bacchanalia and bikinis, movie stars and millionaires.
These stories could only happen in LA...and only on 90210.
