Season 3
Set in the small town of Hammanskraal, this sitcom unfolds in an old butchery that has been turned into a small independent music studio.
Having failed to crack it in the fast paced music industry in JHB, and being reduced to writing and producing jingles, Mojalefa "Jingles" Mohapi (Stephen Manaka) returned to Hammanskraal a year and a half ago to attend the funeral of his beloved mentor.
A year and a half later, he is now the proud owner of Majakathata Records, a record company that is struggling to get by but is filled with love, energy and the hope that even a small town like Hammanskraal can produce a talent to rival Zahara.
Accompanying Jingles on his journey to uncover the next diamond in the rough is Mathapelo Tlholoe (Maki Mokhitli), a meek, shy 28-year-old who has been employed by Jingles as a receptionist.
Little does Jingles know, not only does the timid Mathapelo run the company, she is the songbird he keeps searching for.
Joining her is Khanya (Tshepo Hlatswayo), a young, vibrant engineer, who believes he is a ahead of his time.
Constantly pitching new beats to Jingle, Khanya is obsessed with technology and knows for a fact that he is going to be the next P Diddy.
TT (Phoenix Baaitse) is the resident musician who's been working on his own album for 10 years now.
Having journeyed from the Limpopo, on his way to Joburg, he stopped in Hammanskraal and never left.
Packed with supporting characters and an array of special guest stars, Majakathata is a wholesome comedy that will be eaten up by the entire family.
