Season 3

Ses'khona is a South African SiSwati-language lifestyle magazine television series produced by Tswelopele Productions that covers various facets of youthful living - latest lifestyle trends, social events and insight into Mzansi's movers and shakers.

The series premiered on SABC1 on Thursday 19 October 2006, at 18h30. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Synopsis

The aim of the show is to provide "a gateway into the minds of the youth of Mzansi" and to tell inspiring South African life stories through short and catchy inserts.

The show covers all facets of a young persons mind and takes viewers on a weekly journey through the latest lifestyle trends, social events and insight into Mzansi's entertainment industry.

Ses'khona introduced two new faces to South African television: Hlengiwe and Sphiwe Nkosi, who are not related. The latter was replaced by Bajabulile Masombuka from Season 2 to Season 4, in an effort to attract minority language Ndebele speakers.

Hlengiwe was the sole host in Seasons 5 and 6 but was replaced by two new presenters who were chosen through a nationwide presenter search - Tsholofelo Maseko and Mpumi Mbethe - in Season 7.

The show is produced by Tswelopele Productions, producers of Top Billing and Pasella, magazine shows on SABC2 and SABC3.
