Season 3
Season 3 winner: Bianca Breytenbach
It's back, with more bunting, baking powder and iced buns than ever. The Great South African Bake Off returns as a new hunt for SA's best amateur baker begins. Join a host of amateur bakers as they compete to be named South Africa's best home baker, where thrills, spills and shortcrust await.
The creative baking competition series will provide plenty of inspiration and delicious fun as the amateurs go all out to impress the judges, ultimately hoping to bake their way to the final.
Each week the bakers are given a new technique to master that will stretch their baking skills as they race against the clock, and each other, to deliver a show-stopping, mouth-watering creation. However, after nine weeks of whisking and piping, only one can emerge victorious.
This season sees celebrity chef Zola Nene join the expert judging panel alongside Tjaart Walraven, following former judge Shirley Guy's decision to step out of the Bake Off tent and pursue other projects and spend more time with her family.
Presenters Anne Hirsh and Lentswe Bhengu also return for the new season.
The Great South African Bake Off is produced by Rapid Blue for BBC Worldwide, with executive producers Kee-Leen Irvine and Ed Worster. The series director for Season 3 is Andrew Wilson and the series producer is Abigail Clarke. The series is based on the British format by Love Productions.
