Season 5
The Talk is an American daytime talk show created by Sara Gilbert which features Julie Chen as the moderator and a variety of co-hosts discussing the day's latest headlines while usually tying in the show's theme of motherhood or at least parenthood, giving their opinions "through the eyes of mothers".
The daily, one-hour series was co-hosted in the first season by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and "mother on the street" Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Winokur left the show after the first season, but Robinson Peete and Remini were fired under controversial circumstances after the first season and were replaced by comedienne Sheryl Underwood and actress Aisha Tyler.
The co-hosts - moms with children ranging in age from infant to adult - swap stories, challenge each other on issues and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes through the lens of motherhood.
Show segments include guest interviews with entertainers and newsmakers, live remotes from the field and personal home footage shot by the co-hosts themselves.
The show was developed by Gilbert, who also serves as executive producer with John Redmann. The series is produced by Raquel Productions Inc.
