Season 5
Things have changed over the last few years, but Sacred Heart is still home to some of the craziest doctors around.
J.D., Turk, Elliot, Carla and even Dr Cox faced major changes at the end of season four. But season five proves that try as they might, none of them are growing up any time soon...
As Season 5 begins, some new interns have finally arrived at Sacred Heart, chief among them being Keith Dudemeister (Travis Schuldt).
J.D. is now an attending physician on the same level as his mentor Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley), but finds himself struggling with his new responsibilities, while Elliot (Sarah Chalke) discovers she still feels more comfortable hanging out at Sacred Heart rather than spending time at her new hospital.
Soon she and Dudemeister are dating, much to J.D.'s dissatisfaction.
J.D. has moved out of his and Turk's apartment, but it's the first time he's not lived with Turk in 12 years, including college and medical school.
Things are made even more difficult when the roof of his 'new' apartment collapses. How long will his attempted independance last?
Turk and Carla agree to try for a baby, but Turk is afraid of moving forward and continues to slip his wife her birth control pills.
Dr Cox is faced with the prospect of Jordan having a full time job at Sacred Heart.
And Elliot has a new fellowship and a different hospital, and everything is perfect. Except for her co-fellow...
Guest stars in Season 5 include Elizabeth Banks (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) as J.D.'s new love interest Dr. Kim Briggs, and Jason Bateman (Arrested Development).
