Synopsis
Cheers is a bar in Boston, owned by Sam, a former Redsox baseball player.
His waitresses are poles apart - there is Carla, the smart mouthed sarcastic mother of many and Diane, the snobby jilted fiance who clashes with Sam. Woody is the country bumpkin bartender that is the butt of many jokes.
Cheers clientele are more often at the bar than at home or at work. There's Cliff, the postman, Norm the beer guzzler, Frasier the haughty psychiatrist and other regulars.
Much later, Sam sells the bar so that he can sail around the world. The new manageress, Rebecca hires Sam after his boat sinks. Their personalities clash and a love-hate relationship grows.
With all these wacky characters, it's no wonder they go where everybody knows their name.
