Check-Coast is a South African satirical mockumentary television series created by Rethabile Ramaphakela and Katleho "Katt" Ramaphakela and produced by Burnt Onion Productions which follows the staff at the dysfunctional, fictional Centburg Department of Home Affairs as they get into - and try to get out of - a variety of scrapes, foils and foibles.
Kabomo Vilakazi and Khanyi Mbau star in this satirical comedy series that takes viewers on a journey through the lives of the staff at the Centburg Department of Home Affairs.
Home Affairs manager Bheka Zonke (Vilakazi) leads his staff as they try to grapple with the multiplicity of comical dilemmas, controversies and crises facing the department.
Created by Rethabile Ramaphakela and Katleho "Katt" Ramaphakela, Check-Coast is produced by Burnt Onion Productions with executive producers Katleho Ramaphakela, Rethabile Ramaphakela and Tshepo Ramaphakela.
The pilot episode was written by Meren Reddy and directed by Rolie Nikiwe. The head writer on the series is Katleho Ramaphakela and the music is by Faheem "Fimo" Khan and George Avakian.
