AFRI MEDIA – THE SINKING SHIP:
Sbusiso Dlomo tried everything he could to save his company from being declared insolvent. The first thing that he did, which I was excited about was that he FIRED Kenneth.
Ok, if he could really fire Kenneth, why did it take him so long?
Nevertheless, with Kenneth gone, Sbusiso did not leave any stone unturned in trying to get money to try and save the company but unfortunately none of his efforts paid off.
He approached Busi for help, Busi referred him to Karabo and at the end Karabo was also unable to help. Not for a lack of trying though.
When everything failed, Sbusiso then had to call the Afri Media staff to break the news to them.
It was a very painful scene, shame; Menzi is doing a lot of crying on set these days. And he’s a man, can’t be too easy so thumbs up man!!
Though that was really a painful scene, the only actors who were very convincing with their reaction on hearing the news were Sharon and Phil’s sidekick...anybody know his name? This would explain why the cameraman decided to stick with Sharon for so long.
The rest of the guys were so obviously doing it for the camera, it was pathetic.
Talking about pathetic things...Menzi Ngubane is a very good actor people, very good actor. I have always said this from back in the days when he was Cijimpi in Kwakhala Nyonini as well as Mazwi in another SABC drama but the drunken scene he did recently on Generations was the worst performance I have seen from him, EVER!!
In the meanwhile at Afri Media, Dineo had put together what was supposed to be a killa-issue of SISTA but for a reason which I do not understand, Thandeka managed to mess up the mag and instead a joke of a mag hit the stands.
Firstly the cover had nude models and all that was inside the pages of the mag were the words “WORK IN PROGRESS”.
Little Diny was unconsolable when this disaster hit the stands and though some joked about it, others saw it as a great teaser for what was to come from SISTA. There is still no explanation as to why Thandeka did this, except to spite Dineo, who she clearly does not like.
Speaking of Dineo, I am very intrigued by her “relationship” with Mazzi. Those two clearly have feelings for each other and I am keen to know what actually happened between them.
Just the other day Mazzi suggested that Kenneth buy her a poetry book and on finding out that Mazzi had suggested the gift to Kenneth, she sent Thomas a ‘thank you’ note that ended with “love always”. Mhhhh, how lucky Thomas is to have such a nice “step mother”. She certainly ain’t from hell!!
I also can’t wait to see what Dineo’s reaction would be when she discovers that Thomas is in fact, Ntombi’s mystery guy. Sparks are bound to fly, I tell you.
I honestly don’t know how long Ntombi will continue with this stupid fling she has with this boy. Chicken Murder has never been this obvious!! I cringe with every kissing scene between these two. Am sure Mr. Leslie Sedibe knows what I’m talking about.
Afri Media Back in Business:
Recently Kenneth offered to bail Afri Media out and Sbusiso had no choice but to agree so Kenny signed him a cheque...so ironic, he pays Sbusiso with the same money he stole from him. I don’t promote violence but I really wanted Sbusiso to klap him again at that moment...
The Afri Media crew are now back at work and very excited to have their jobs back. I just know that Kenneth will have his day! Sbusiso will bounce back, I know.
COMMUNAL BUSINESS...
I really have beef with the writers for killing Samuel, so to speak...the guy is not doing anything in the storyline and besides being a referee every now and then, there is nothing going on with him.
At some point the writers were hinting at developing a love story between him and Dineo and that woulda been really nice! Infidelity and married people cheating is such a real part of our society so if they wanna touch on real issues, I say infidelity is the way to go.
Why are there no serial daters in the soap anyway??
Moving right along....I am black so that means I am all for taking care of one’s family but what is happening with Zamani is a bit too much to handle. The way he shouts at Ajax as if he’s talking to a 10 year old really irritates the living hell out of me....”hey, eat your breakfast”, “where have you been?”, “It’s your turn to set the table” ...blah blah blah blah
Never mind the fact that ekasi we don’t set the table, least of all eat at a table. We eat dinner & breakfast, in front of the TV; we don’t even have a dinner table and if we do have one then kids aren’t allowed to get near it coz it’s always kept shiny and clean (with Mr. Min).
The lounge was and still is called “dining room”....or voorhuis (of course we pronounced it foreis) damn, I miss home.
Back to Generations @ the commune...
Zoë finally went to rehab for her drug addiction...it took for her dealer to trash the commune looking for her as well as a near death experience for her to finally commit. Duma with his new peacock “confidence” is acting as her knight in shining armour. (Did anyone see the “worn out” pants he was wearing the day he escorted Zoe out of Tsalanang?)
I think Mfundi Vundla and the crew kinda forgot that they had already given us the “drugs are bad for you” lesson with Lerato (Abena Ayivor) and Noah (Tafadzwa Kuuya), remember?
Anyway, it is a continuous problem so I guess they had to continue with the lesson. Poor us.
Ek is gatvol met
Cleo and her new “I’m an Angel” attitude!!! Hello? Is this the same person who was a prostitute not so long ago??
I am not saying she must be a slut all over again but her “innocence” and sensitivity is way overboard for someone who slept with different men for money.
Yes people repent but if she does not want to be with Jason she must leave him alone. The poor guy can’t touch her, ok, cool she is taking things slow, and we understand that. The poor guy can’t kiss her, umm well, ok cool; she is taking things extra slow. What damn well pisses me off is that he can’t even say anything slightly sexy/romantic and she gets offended!! If she wants to be a nun she must go ahead and leave the dating game for fun loving folks.
Wasn’t she supposed to be leaving Generations anyway?? I loved the old Cleo who was in love with Khaphela and all but this new one is just too much... she must go. I love her hairdo though...really suits her.
Her modelling job seems more like a pastime than a job...lucky models.
I was kind of surprised that Karabo expected Cleo to accept her old position back when she offered it back to her. I mean really, after the way she treated her, why would Cleo come back for less than what she is making in modelling or rather what is supposed to be modelling?. Naturally Cleo turned the offer down.
This week Cleo is upset about her doctored pictures. She took pictures that were later doctored and appeared as if she had posed topless. Miss holier-than-thou is livid about this matter, understandably so I guess. Whatever!
MOGALE MANSION IS SO SPOOKY...
The most glamorous house in the Generations set is the only one keeping it real when it comes to black culture...
Karabo is still having her “dreams”, recently she saw her late brother Archie’s face and heard him call her name but not hearing anything else he was trying to say to her.
Eish, where is Celeste from
Days of Our Lives when you need her?
Can somebody please tell Khethiwe to cool down on the shouting??? She is such a drama queen! Damn!
What happened to the submissive Khethiwe we knew and adored?
Khaphela has taken a liking to one of the Badge ladies, Magda and that got Magda into trouble with her new husband to be, Jacob. Jacob hits Magda and Magda blames herself for it...here we go again with another educational element...
After Magda disappeared Khaphela went looking for her at Jacob’s place and came back with a gorgeous looking black eye...thatha Jacob!!
A human skeleton buried at the Mogale backyard has been discovered and the forensic team discovered that there was a bullet hole in its head so the police are now looking for the previous owners of the Mogale house.
Yet again, Khethiwe threw a tantrum demanding that a sangoma should be called to cleanse the house. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t have a problem with this but really the way she said it! If she is trying to get a nomination for Best Actress, she must try another strategy. I’ll give her one for most irritating actress right this minute and she won’t even have to leave her house to collect, I’ll deliver it free of charge.
Back to the bhakabhaka or should I say skeleton in the garden...could it be linked to Karabo’s dreams somehow?
With all the stories resurfacing about how her father had enemies and the psychic’s revelation that she should correct wrongs from the past, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that her father is the one who put the bullet in that dead man’s head!
Keep it locked to the G Spot for more or check out Generations on SABC 1, 20:00 on weekdays.
