Eish, I have noticed that most of my postings on this blog, begin with an apology but I would really like to break tradition this time and get straight to the point.
It has been a hectic month in the
G Spot; Magda struggles to deal with being ridiculed about her HIV status. I don’t know if this still does happen in real life but what I know is that the stigma is slowly becoming thing of the past and that is such good news.
To comfort her, Khaphela, with the help of Mamgo Khethi, prepared a special dinner for Magda and she in turn ended up sprinkling tears of joy all over the food, ok, not literally.
Khaphela even invited Magda to leave Soweto and come stay with them at the
“mansion”. Not long ago they were complaining about not having enough money to run the household but now they invite people to live with them. I wouldn’t. The first thing I’d think of is the fact that I have to buy more food, come month end, plus the invasion of my space, damn!
At Ezweni, Busi, in an attempt to save Sbusiso’s life, career and to stop him from going to London, turned into a mini-devil by abusing Karabo’s proxy in a board meeting and hiring Sbusiso in Ezweni.
This was after Karabo had refused to hire Sbuda so as you can imagine, Karabo was flippen mad when she found out and swore that “I will fight this with everything I have”. It turns out she does has a whole lot of NOTHING because Sbuda is still in office as we speak, umm.sorry..as I write.
After the ladies of Ezweni had put a whole lot of work into a new strategy that was supposed to re-position them in the market, Kenneth Mashaba got wind of what the plans were at the ladies’ hostel, thanks to Anne De Villiers, and stole their ideas to create “
Mashaba Media”.
A giant company that includes all his business, Music, magazines etc. No more Afri Media folks,
Mashaba Media in da hizza!! It’s a shame, coz Afri Media sounded really nice, that Mashaba title is just bland.
Karabo and his disciples only found out about Mashaba Media, a day before Ezweni’s scheduled Press Conference and it dawned on Karabo that they had a snitch at Ezweni.
The only thing poor Karabo could do to save them embarrassment was to introduce Sbusiso as the new MD of Ezweni, ok and then everybody went “
Ha!!!” etc. etc. etc.
There was some “supposed” drama at the Press Conference because Anne, who had previously stolen the tape of Karabo’s consultation with the psychic, got the tape played for everyone to hear. There was much embarrassment from Karabo (don’t know why), she stayed at home the next day but she seems ok now so we’ll move right along.
So, all the trouble Anne went to, just to obtain the tape was leading up to that “press conference?” Is that the climax of the whole thing? Karabo having dreams and all that....hayi la bantu!
Ngamla may be the new boss but that didn’t mean that he had kicked his drinking habit and Queen helped to expose his dirty secret of drinking on duty...no suspension from work if you are the MD, only the poor Jasons of this world get suspended. For Jason, it was even suspension for something that has nothing to do with Ezweni, for that matter.
Anne is very upset about Sbusiso’s appointment and the damn twit was screaming and telling everyone that she would NOT work with Sbusiso. While we are on the subject of Anne, CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL HER TO STOP SPEAKING THAT THING SHE REFERS TO AS ZULU???? Damn!!
What is the point? What is the POINT?? Listening to her is sheer torture maan.
Through her mumbling of Shaka’s language, we finally found out why she hates Sbuda so much and he practically had to SHAKE it out of her!
Her son died as a result of Infaplus, the baby formula Sbusiso was responsible for. At least that’s what Anne thought until Sbusiso explained that he also lost a child due to Infaplus.
Apparently Sbuda had a fling with one girl, she fell pregnant and like Eddie Murphy doesn’t believe Mel B’s child is his, Sbusiso also did not believe the child was his but unlike Eddie, who says there should be a paternity test when the baby “pops out”, it only took one look for Sbusiso to know that the child was his. After seeing the baby’s mother selling tomatoes on the street pavement (Don’t ask me what Sbusiso was doing there, I’m only reporting what they said. Really, imagine Patrice Motsepe walking past the street vendors on Wanderers Street..iyo!)
Cleo and Jason were still in enemies till recently, with Duma supporting Cleo throughout her “ordeal”. Cleo’s lawyer on the other hand, gave me the creeps. That woman seemed so hell bent on taking Jason down you’d swear Jason had turned her advances down or something.
Anway, after a whole lot of ups and downs, it turns out Jason did rape Cleo after all... and so he went to apologize to Cleo, of course D the Bodyguard was there acting all protective as usual but Jason managed to say the words and convince Cleo that he now understood that what he did was rape.
Cleo has forgiven him and decided to drop the charges
Now THAT was such a let down for me coz it made me question what the whole point of the rape plot was.
G-Spot Love Zone
There is some seriously kak smelling kak going on at the Mashaba household. The stepson and the stepmom have some serious chemistry going on and as much as I disliked Thomas when he was with Ntombi (Can you blame me? They had as much chemistry as there is between Vusi and Lettie Matabane) the constant bickering over whether or not Dineo is happy with Kenneth makes for interesting viewing.
Thomas has gotten Dineo into trouble with Kenneth, who suspects that his wife is up to no good. He just doesn’t know that it has to do with his favourite off spring.
Thomas is so careless about this, even Zamani saw them getting all cozy. Jackie duly advised him to use that little piece of info to get Thomas off his back.
I would like to see how this Kenneth/Dineo/Thomas triangle plays out, if they don’t decide to just drop it without an explanation. I hate it when they do that...like the friendship that was developing between Dineo and Samuel, what happened to that? The nice story they could have told about Cleo’s baby daddy, they left us hanging on that one.
In last night’s episode, Cleo was packing her bags talking about visiting home just to get out of Jozi, we all know that means she is leaving the soap. Finally!!
I will miss her beautiful face but definitely not her character. She was getting too holy, too sensitive for my liking. If there is one thing that does not match the beautiful fashion in the soap, it is the way the characters leave. The exits are not the most fashionable around.
When she announced her plans, the matchstick bodyguard, kept on asking whether she would come back, Duma irritates me man, I wonder what use he will be to Generations now that Cleo is going.
Thandeka is back together with her puppet boyfriend and Khethiwe is up to no good. Disappearing without anyone knowing where she’s going and having unaccounted for cash.
Of course Sbari gave her a talking to and reminded her how Magda needed her. Oh, for goodness' sake, does everything have to be about Magda now???
Does anyone know when Angela is making her "exit" from the soap? That child is so misplaced it's not fun anymore.
That’s the G Spot, what have I missed?
*Pics obtained from the Generations website and no, I did not think Kenneth Mashaba's picture was necessary!
