Yhu guys, how boring were the papers this Sunday!??!!! Shee!
Read a story on the Sowetan izolo about Sbu being wanted by the police and I was like "Huwiie...what an exaggeration."....I wasn't there when the incident took place but c'mon, if you've met Sbu you'll know what he was described to have done is so not him!
With that said, I must admit, I'm getting disappointed with all these stories about him not pitching for gigs.
This wasn't the first time but I certainly hope it was the last.
All artists should listen to HHP's Walk On By coz somewhere there he talks about these musicians who aren't honouring gigs. Shame on you guys.
HORROR OF HORRORS
Is this what they meant when they said "
Journalism has gone to the dogs?" A friend of mine asked..
I haven't studied journalism so I can't say.
What I know for sure though is that the story about a dog that was "raped" in 2006 was totally senseless.
Am I the only one who read it and thought they were actually "suggesting" something about Cleo???
Hee, and what was up with them saying
"The best kept secret in the music fraternity is finally out"???? Hahaha, this is an exclusive??? The things we do when stories are dry.
Notice how "empty" the cover is, usually they have different other stories all up in there but this Sunday, haikhona.
Even Mangamanga Sun seemed to be in a bit of a fix coz they were screaming "
Brickz Faces Fraud Case: Botswana cops hunt for him etc etc..." you read the story and it's actually about him not pitching for a gig....
YAWN!!!!!!!!!
What I would like to know about the Cleo story though: If the dog was put down like they said, where did the paper get that picture of a malnourished dog from?? Did Cleo give it to them? And what was that about patient/doctor confidentiality? Big ups to all the dogs for having patient rights!!!!!
IT'S A SHAME....
I read with shock that Umhlobo We Nene finally fired KCi from Umhlobo. I got all depressed all of a sudden.....
How could it happen? Why couldn't they hold hands (like their logo) and smoke a peace pipe??? The issue doesn't even sound so hectic....
I sense something about a power struggle here, I'm telling you!
And for the record, this had nothing to do with me not doing the "Umgosi scoop" on Monday morning. I had a super hectic weekend that didn't allow me the luxury of even reading the Sunday papers so apologies to SLYSO!
And while we are on the Umhlobo tip, Siya Ngwekazi left the station already, am not sure what happened there.
You guys will be happy to hear that Street Journal is coming back to SABC 1 in December. Shooo, Lawd knows we can do with some talent on TV....
Mmmhh, I wonder if that story about him and that much talked about event is true... :)
KAYA FM
Quick question....does the suspension of Pat Cash (if he's not back yet), mean we won't have to listen to anyone else reading that ad about that shop that sells suits? You buy one get one free or get 1 suit and get a shirt free or whatever else...
I promise you, that's the only thing that sticks to my mind when I've listened to that show!!
And can someone please fill us in on when and why Ed Jordan left the show?
There is/was just something uncomfortable about that show man....I like Pat's voice though and I thought he was cool.
And the story about Dineo Ranaka and Tom London taking over the breakfast slot? Wow!!! I don't know Tom but I know Dinny rox on radio shem. Breakfast will be a huge step foward.
LESEGO BOOZING IT UP
Speaking about KAYA FM.....really now, what was up with that story in the Sunday World about "Gospel Star Lesego's lover kicks him out"...??
First of all, Lesego is NOT a gospel star. He sings Afro Pop. Which is why he won a South African Music Award for POP, not GOSPEL earlier this year.
Was the Gospel bit added to make the story juicier?
Anyway, Lesego, you've been warned....stop drinking and go to AA like your galfriend suggested.
I hate it when people waste talent...some of us want to sing and you people with nice voices are busy doing nonsense....
Jabu Hlongwane was quoted as having said that that Lesego grew up drinking and it was difficult to get him to quit especially coz he denied having a problem.
Sounds like someone who's already given up on the boy....let's help him before the problem becomes huge.
Lesego's album, MY MUSIC is in stores, get yourself a copy coz it rocks!
Okay, no more stories from me......
Now that they've won a match, we are back on track so I just wanna wish my boys luck against their clash with Sundowns tonight. Kick some major butt boys, Shuga Mama will be watching!!!!!
ASIBASABI, SIYABAFUNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
