Hey Bloggers, There's something great, fun and exciting coming to your Cinema. I went to another Movie Preview in Brooklyn last night -- The Game Plan, starring The Rock, Morris Chestnut, Brian white (from Stopm the yard), Madison Pettis, and Jamal Duff.
Now, I'm not sure when exactly the movie is coming to SA, but it has to be somewhere around early March. You just have to go see it (I hope Strekinekor and cinema nouvour will gimme some sort of remuneration for this)
An eight-year-old girl is the last thing quarterback Joe Kingman (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) expects to find on his doorstep. He's more surprised when he discovers she is his daughter from a previous marriage. Now the self-absorbed athlete, who lives in an apartment decorated with game memorabilia and super-enlarged images of himself, is stuck with Peyton (Madison Pettis) for a whole month while her mother supposedly heads to Africa for humanitarian work.
The lil girl who chills with the big dawgs on the Rugby fieldWith season playoffs looming in the near future, this revelation couldn't come at a worse time. And even with his publicity agent (Kyra Sedgwick) working overtime, some parenting blunders are to be expected. (He has, after all, only known he's a dad for a few short hours.) But unfortunately for Joe, he's taking on his new role under the glare of the media who makes it front page news when the bachelor temporarily forgets his daughter at his club on opening night.
Knowing the media, they don't let him off the hook easily, and his agent organises him a press conference for damage control, he fails to impress but his daughter saves the day.
Aftre she rescues daddy at the press conference, they hug and he whispers in her ear "that was great" and she says smilling "it's gonna cost you". And it does indeed. she makes him take her and all the other girls from her dance class to a day filled with play, dolls, combing of dolls's hair and drinking imaginary coffee from super super small cups.
Now, the lil missy goes to ballet classes and guess who the ballet teacher is: Eva from Desperate house Wives, i had no idea the lady could move like that.
i just loved the way the compared dance to Rugby like that. They are totally different sports while one needs extensive technique and the other needs ... what? Strength, big shoulders and speedy feet? Even The Rock tries his hand at ballet and he gets all his team mates so touched, some even crying at a school show.
This is a good movie definatelly to be enjoyed by the whole family, they successfully show how lil girls grow to be the apple of their fathers' eye and how much the power of a father can influence our lives.
Your number one on the field and number one in your heart, Go see the movie when it comes and you'll know what i'm talking about.
The girl with the whole team. All these guys loved her as their own. I remember the scene when she was at hospital after an allergy attack, the doctor came in and asked "Who's ****'s father (i forgot her name) and they all stood up, until the Rock said "i'm the father". really touching stuff. Definatelly not for the denim hearted.
