Thursday afternoon I raced all the way to Joburg Calton Centre for the filming of Strictly Come Dancing Episode 5, called my gal B and she was fired up for the show.... On arrival it was not difficult to get in as lifts from the reserved parking lead you straight to the show studio. Nice people, ushers greet you and welcomes you to the venue to "feel at home" as SABC2 says it... My luck is that the organiser Walter was there and already showed me where I was to hang out with the judges and other media members during the supper break.....Time to get in we seated on the front row hi hi hi ihi so that the camera's can get a piece of the fabulous US of TVSA.

Beyonce and The Great One..

Emmanuel Castis and Lindsey Muckle are the IT, they rocked the dance floor like there is no tommorow, I must say that am predicting eother a win for them or for Trevor Noah and Hayley, the highlight for me was Brenda for the night, well i had to agree with Tyrone that Brenda on the floor was more like an actor rather than a dancer, she wasnt free and letting it all go it was as if she was dancing from a sript, well maybe the Tsha Tsha moment caught up with her...hi hi hi hi i was kind of dissapointed as I was a big fan of hers especially as everyone of my friends list had predicted her leaving the show.

Another thing that caught up my eye was the Pantsula dance..... the celebs and professsionals looked hot especially the ladies in those tiny outfits and they really perfomed their hearts out....Loved it..!
During the supper break moas caught up with Tyrone , Salome and Dave at the couches just to get the feel of the judges and knowing what they do..! tyrone is big and can stand a chance of WWE.....he really doesnt mind the wooooooooo's from the crowd when making his decisions and scoring as its all part of the show and audience plays a big part of the show...! Salome is HOT and very friendly I kept on missing words LOL, she chatted to me about how they love doing their job and that dancing was her life, she actually promised to give me dance lessons so yeah am gonna hustle an invite so we chat about that madam....thank you. Dave is fab and thats all wanna say....he rocks from when starting to talk and to what he says..!

Went back inside for the elemination time and it was now the sadest moment as either way one couple had to go and forget about all those weeks of hard work....back to their day jobs. At one stage I thought Muntu and Ashley were leaving but when the time of dancing to impress the judges Brenda seemed to have given up...and she was eleminated.
I caught up with her after the show to get how she felt about being eleminated and what she would be doing next so here it goes because it sounds as if there is some info her..

TDC: Hi Brenda am (Intoduced myself with real name) from TVSA............
Brenda: Uphi...ulonto....uLelo?
TDC: She is not here today but you should se her at the awards tommorow.....So Brenda you are gone....whats your take about the ...( cuts in)
Brenda: Am gone....I was born free and now am free. Do you hear me buthi..I am Free....( at this point she raises her fist then starts saying I am now free...going back home)

Note that home is Mzansi............and we were in Mzansi at the time so which is the other Mzansi refered to as home??..........Yeah you got it..its Fo Sho obviously..
Well I dont know if its me or what there there was more to this AM FREE... Quintus is getting married soon so he will be preparing for the wedding, wish them luck in what they will be doing next.....!

Oh spotted Lesley Mofokeng, was actually sharing a couch together and had a chat with Lupi Ngcayisa of Breakfast with Thomas..!Other former SCD dancers were there too..... Also Trevor's gal wast here to support her man... she looks soooooo beautiful and small. Way to go Trevor......! The presenters are very funny....the guy keeps on dancing and making jokes of everyone....and yoh the place is very hot even with the aircorn been fixed.Thank you very much to Walter and evryone from Total Exposure for such a lovely evening, Beyonce thank you for atending with me and to TVSA editors.....TVSA ROCKS.

Met Theo of Sunday World and chatted about TVSA and he mentioned the Uyanda story to Bey and I, ok I wanna say this in Capital letters...he also said " MY BOSS IS A REGULAR ON THE SITE" so yall know we hot and these people check up on us all the time, met him again at the Stars of Mzansi Awards with Uyanda he introduced me and Uyanda said " Why do you guys hate me so much?" TDC ran out of words and orderded his drink so yah all those comments about her for SCD Episode4 she actually read them...am glad I didnt say isht hi hi hi hi.

[ Met Brenda at the Stars of Mzansi Awards and she said she would chat to me sometime just have to get Brown Shuga to organise and I hope that we will chat right Brenda....???]

man guys, she meant she's going back to the Eastern cape, angisho there was one episode where she was crying cause she was home sick and she said she lived on her own in Jhb and everyone else went home to their families after the show and blah blah blah

Anyway TDC, thanks for the lowdown, everytime they showed the audience, i kept looking for u, pity i ddnt see u.
Next time you go, ask Sandy how once can get a hold of her dresses(the last 2 to be precise, the grenn number, and the black number). Or maybe she can donate them to a fan...hint hint. But honestly, she looked fabulous.

Its a pity i missed the show, and would have loved to see the Pantsula dance especially..
I missed the saturday one too, Dang...!
Competition is getting too high, i wonder who's next Ashley or Trevor?? LoL
funny cause she was still doing the am free thingie at the stars of Mzatsi's...

Guys kanti where is the stars of Mzansi blog, its 1pm already, i've been coming and going the whole day now, eish. I have too much too say about those awards, i need a platform.

Anyway, @Spopo,i was busy trying to get my head around the best actress award, and the conclusion i 've come to is:
Ashley and Brenda are/were both splendid actresses. If Ashley was alive and had won it, i'd be ok with that still.
Then i thought about it in more detail, lets say it wasnt Ashley who had passed, but someone else in the category, like lets say, God forbid, Lucia Mthiyane ne? Ok, so say she had passed, and come Saturday, in a category with Ashley, Brenda, Nthati, and the late Lucia(i'm not trying to be insensitive here, just illustrating a point), Lucia wins, then in this case, where she is the weakest actress in the category(in the country in my opinion, but thats no thte point here), it would clearly be a a case of "lets honour the recently passed type-of-thing", you know wat i mean.

So for me, I genuinely think it was always gonna be between Brenda and Ashley, and mina i cast my vote on the website even before the accident.

i understand renegade.u right ..she deserves the win..maybe they should have a catergory for best actor/actress in a soapy..(because its a permanet role) and best actor/ress in a drama...i think these two showcase one's talent in a different way..e.g..Brenda has shown versetility. and could have ben judged by how she perfomed in various roles.....(i hope Brenda gets another juicy role)...oh well

ya there was a bit of sympathy involved in the whole Ashley Callie thing but all in all she was a great actress so im still cool with it. I think Brenda is mad, saw her in SHIFT(i think thats whta its called). Yiyho she was going on and on abt ppl in the industry bng broke and how ppl floss money they dnt have. I think that is for the SAFTA's, in the Stars of Mzantsi its more like a summary of all the other awards. SAMA's, SAFTA's e.t.c

Anyway, mina i was getting irritated(maybe jealous), first it was HHP thanking his wife,then Brian Habanna thanking his girlfriend, then David Kau, then Ngamla, and twice at that! Hai, you could swear it was a competition of "who can thank their partner the best way"

were the Mzansi awards advertised in other SABC channels, cause the winners reflected 'Mzansi Fo Sho' SABC 1 kind of audience-we know mzansi fo sho viewers and Ezasekuseni-Sbu's show are one and the same

I sometimes switch stations on my way to work if traffic is moving slowly, and last week i switched to EBS, and they were playing this plea that they had for votes, and i knew right then that they'd win it.

But ya, the only ppl i agreed with for sure, were HHP, Brian Habbana and Ashley Callie( those are the ones that come to mind right now). Some were debatable coz while they werent my pick, i cud see y ppl wud like them.

As for Ngamla, EBS, and Zola 7, hai guys, i'm sorry, but can we get real.

Am I the only one who noticed that Nhlanhla was extremely uncomfortable on that dress while performing??? She kept on pulling it up because them boobied were about to pop!! I kept praying that they don't everytime the cameraperson did a close-up on them....after the performance I was like shoooooo........Why do you have to wear uncomfortable clothes if you are going to perform and need to be free - in lack of a better word" throughout?? @Tshd21, ya no, mina i tried to resist, but I just couldnt. Its just that there are so many things to talk about, and Nhlanhla's dress is just one of them. I did notice it was extremely uncomfy, and i was genuinely scared for her thinking it was gonna fall. Nami i fail to understand how she could have worn that dress, phela thats dress is not meant for performing, its a "look at me sitting down or walking around doing nothing but looking good" type of dress.
