After a very long absence on tvsa, i am glad to announce that yours truly in the mgosi category is back and burning like a potjiekos. Mamela ke ngoku:
I was searching for hot mgosi and hot men as usual and i got a shock of a lifetime when i bumped into one article on Sowetan this morning and i saw that they are soon going to be on our tv screens soon as fashion cops, if you ask me, it's some other celeb show on SABC 1.
Who has ever thought that Chomee and Khanyi could ever be our fashion cops? Well they have proven us that the saying ethi "Nothing is impossible with God" is actually so true., yazi they are trying so hard these days. They are bringing us all these new shows and I applaud them for that kodwa there are some presenters they can do better without like that girl " What her name, Lalla something and that mlungu who is trying so hard to be a darkie Stivovo something.
Firstly, with such a bad fashion taste they share- who are they going to arrest, they need to be arrested themselves first. I mean, if you guys have watched the SAMA Awards last week, you would agree with me that these 2 chicks don't actually have a good fashion taste.
They belong to the category of the likes of the Mazwai&'s, Lebo Mashile&'s, Zolani&'s and they are even worse with that bling bright as the morning star.
Below is the article from Sowetan:
Queen of bling Khanyisile Mbau and Queen of dance Chomee have landed new TV roles as fashion police.
The two will be featured on the SABC1 show Music Lounge, a compilation of the best music videos, to judge their peers’ fashion sense.
The two 999 stable’s most controversial artists will start featuring on the Saturday show from noon to 1pm. The show will present the hits and misses of the yellow carpet at the 14th Samas at the weekend.
In 2006, Chomee was voted Best Styled Artist, while Khanyi is known for her expensive fashion taste. However, it will be interesting to see how other celebrities will react to these two as fashion critics .
Executive producer Katz Rakoma said the two have joined the crew as premium events fashion critics.
“They are two of South Africa’s most flashy dressers, and I will be sending them to interview music and fashion gurus on special occasions like Sanlam Fashion Week, the Durban July etc.”
During the Samas, Khanyi and Chomee bewildered everyone when they appeared on the yellow carpet dressed like they were going to deliver a performance. They then started interviewing celebrities about their dress codes.
999 boss Arthur Mofokate said he was still in talks with the show producers because “I do not want the show to overshadow their music careers. I don’t want them to be too busy, more especially Chomee who is busy with her studies.”
