What's in a star sign?

Greetings to all bloggers.
I had a very interesting talk today with a colleague of mine who is obsessed with horoscopes. According to her star sign in a magazine she read, this was not gonna be her week. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, she said. I put on my 'Dr Phil' cap and tried to reason with her. Every word she uttered seemed like science fiction to me, needless to say, she nonchalantly dismissed me by saying i was being a typical Capricorn...don't ask!
As you can imagine, i was curious to know how a typical capricorn acts. This is the informatin i was given.

Capricons...ambitious people but can be very stubborn
Aquarius...very friendly, very kind,but dont expect them to pay the bill
Pisces...compassionate, loving but can be too submissive
Sagittarius..all they wanna have is fun and they can be very extravagant. If Queen Moroka on Generations were a real life character, she'd probably be a Sagittarian.
Leo...Domineering, dictatorial, bossy but warm-hearted
Scorpio...wild and sensual, but be careful because they are resentful and vengeful.Famous scorpios are Madonna, Dennis Rodman and the late Brenda Fassie.
Virgo...Perfectionists. Bree on DH would qualify as one
Libra...dont even attempt to argue with these people coz u wont win. they're diplomatic
Gemini...Bathanda iindaba zabantu ke aba...her words not mine. Hayi, I don't know. What do you think?

There could be some element of truth kuma Virgos because i once dated one who was not just a perfectionist but a fault finder of note. If the food was not too hot then the coffee was too cold. His clothes were never ironed to his satisfaction. He'd drive back to the car wash if he saw a spot they'd missed. I came home excited this one time because i had scored 80% in an exam. He told me to do better the next time. I thought what could be better than 80%? He said 100%. I hit the highway.

I think there are far too many ppl in this world for horoscopes to be true. Like, if i read one about scorpios today, there is no way that it can be true for every scorpio.

I think this, like every other star, can be true for anyone.

You know, i have two aunts who have the same personality traits. One is more interested in my love life than anything else, wanting to know when i'm married. One thing I have grown to realise about star signs is that if u believe in them they sort of predic the future for u, but if u don't believe in them u always understand that this is merely thumb sucking...........

I just love reading them though. But imagine that all the people of this world can be catagorised into 12 groups, it's impossible. I believe my star sign though, which is bad, because I get jealous very easily and that is because I took my starsign in consideration.

Ohhh..pleeeeaaasssee.. For three years I wrote horoscopes for the newspaper at Tech. It was really funny how people just believed the crazy things I merely sucked my thumb for… but I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone its me……

So, the things you read on these magazines are mere hallucinations….The only horoscopes that are true are those on Amazon that you pay for and I done by serious spiritual star readers…

I'm a virgo...A bit of a perfectionist but no measure to Bree.... i don't believe in star signs at all....I know its a whole lot of crank. Have you guys followed it for a long time, I used to when I was in varsity....this week will be money troubles next week things going well on the job front the other man problems the next meeting a hunk....And its all went around those circles...

I was deeply hurt mna kuqala because bendise excited istar sign sam kwinewspaper saying i can look forward to a fruitful second half of 2008. And now Carino drops this bomb...????? Its like being told there's no Santa.

Belz, I also only b'liv when its what I want to hear. half the time horoscopes don't make sense...I always try to read a week/month later to see if the predictions were true..most times they are not!

@Nonny, Shadow....So, am not the only Cancerian around. Now I know why I liked Nonny the first time I browsed through TVSA blogs. Neways, am not a horoscope fanatic but i guess i believe people when they say Cancerians are born leaders. Those of you who don't know, Mandela is one, so was King Sobhuza II, King Letsie III and we have the controversial ones as well boRebecca Malope and Mike Tyson??? ok, ok not sure about Iron Mike.

The other thing, they say Cancerians are affectionate people, emotional too. I agree, my son is one as well and he likes cuddling and kissing. Very emotional as well.
