South African sports fans

I am a sports fan, i live sports, I cannot imagine life without sports.
I was howver amazed by the number of people calling Robert marawa( metro) and Thabiso Sikwane ( SAFM) on radio complaining about the indians coloureds and whites coming out in their numbers to support manchester united in their numbers. I was at the game wearing an arsenal shirt as unfortunately i do Not support any of the 3 teams involved in the recent Vodacom Challenge.
The question everyone is asking is where Are these fans during league matches, also tickets were 6 times more expensive than normal ticket prizes for league matches.
Its unfortunate to think that its only now that we are realising that soccer in south Africa is for the poor, these CWI fans can afford R250 tickets , and they buy tickets early , whilst your avarage sports fan waits for the last day or day of the match, now whose fault is that.
It was funny to hear Chiefs spokesperson Makunga on Gameplan ( SAFM) saying their fans would have come in numbers had they bought tickets early, Now whose responsibilty is that , to teach fans that tickets need to be bought early to avoid disappointment.
This weekend its the charity Cup , lets see how many CWI fans show up, or better portsmouth is playing Ajax in Cape town , will the cape people go to support..?
Sizobona,..
I think we need to teach ourselves as fans to prepare ourselves to for 2010 otherwise we will be watching matches On Tv , claiming the Couloureds , indians and whites beat us to the tickets, a limited number of tickets will be sold to South Africans, if you snooze you loose...

but don't you think its a shame that we cant rely on our fellow south africans to support each other.we rather support a foreign teams. as for the local black supporters having to shoulder the responsibility to support local teams is unfair.
Just imagine if black people were to come in drows to support the all blacks in a springbok game, or black people to spport the waratahs against the bulls and fill up the staduim.
i think its a shame.the only good thing about this situation is that we know at least we can rather on other people aside local fans to fill up the stadiums come 2010

CWI- Coloureds White Indians.

People will always complain......its their nature.....I was also amazed on the turnout showed by CWI( the stadium was turned red)........and I agree with you Blacks need to buy tickets early before they can shout.
