So two months of searching for the I Want To Sing Gospel Star came to an end and I finally made the trip to the Red Pepper Studios. What an experience it was, even though I arrived 15 minutes before the show started. Just when I was about to wander, Mjj spotted me and introduced me to my beautiful fellow bloggers Toxic, Lela and Brown Shuga (who was one of the judges) and because Llcute1 love i spotlight, he wanted to sit next to sit Mzo's father (LOL).
Ooh la la BS
Their presence was felt (Mzo's fans), Sis'Khethiwe, Twasa & The Drama King
While waiting for the show to start Mzo’s contingent from Addo tried to entertain us singing Xhosa songs, hoisting placards and Charisma’s followers were there as well (ngibabone ngokungabi namazinyo ke bona). I did not see anyone from Lungisani’s side maybe baphelele emnyango or they did not get a chance to make it through to the studio, phela bekugcwele laphayana.
THE DIRECTOR
Uvelile Bangani was the director / floor manager, nkosi yam yenye idrama ke lo bhuti. He told us in no uncertain terms that we must not move around while the recording is in process and that we must switch off our cellphone. The guy was so loud, he treatened omnye umama who came with her bambino ukuthi if that child makes a noise uyakuwutsiba umgubasi (she will go outside). The child cried during the recording, you should have seen Uvelile’s face. I am sure if he had indlela he would have flown to that child, amkhiphele ngaphandle. Fortunately uyewathula umntwana.
Lucy, Berlz, Thabisa (the floor manager told her to take off those shades kabuhlungu kanjani) and SisKhethi
IRRITATING CAMERAMAN
My day was almost ruined by some cameraman with his not so funny French and Portuguese. The guy asked me some stupid questions and insisted that Mjj should take a picture of us (Me, Cameraman and some guys). Laze landichekra (he annoyed me) ke ixhego lomshangane, I had enough there and then. Lela and Toxic found it funny
Thabo tried to entertain us with his contortionist movements. That was funny broer... ha ha ha ha
KGOTSO’S SCREAMS
Something is wrong with Kgotso, that boy can get on someone’s nerve. I so wish you could have seen him with his odd behaviour. When Mkhize said “I want a song writer for this girl” reffering to Charisma. Kgotso stood up and screamed like a woman on top of his voice nogal. I am sure Twasa (who was sitting next to Kgotso) thought she was on Jam Alley for a moment there. What was up with Twasa ethe nca ku Pastor Makgalema. Maybe you should invite Kgotso kwi Jam Alley. Kgotso you took the crown: IWSG Drama King. Lusanda, its a shame you lost it on the final day.
Kgotso and Uvelile were not alone in the Drama Department; there was some pastor who shouted Haleluya now and again. Anyway Thanx for “Our Daily Manna” pastor whoever.
So after the show we made our way to the conference room. The heat in that room was unbearable (there was no aircon). Kgotso, Charisma and Lungisani abamameli (they do not listen). I can't recall what they said in there, all I know is that bebebhuda qha.
Thanx again to Brown Shuga, Mjj, Toxic, Llcute1, I truly enjoyed myself. See you at the State Theatre, Pretoria
