Stellenbosch
Premiere date: Thursday, 2 April 2009 at 21h00
Stellenbosch is a Dutch-produced mini-series about a Dutch family that immigrated to South Africa in the 1950s. The story starts in 1994 with the election of Nelson Mandela as president and ends eight years later in 2002.
While the world changes at breakneck speed in South Africa, we follow the Keppel family, their children and grandchildren, through the ups and downs of life and see how fate – or is it history? – has left its mark on the lives of three generations and how the characters wrestle to escape from this.
While the story is set in both the Netherlands and South Africa, the farm called Arkadia in the vicinity of Stellenbosch in the Western Cape of South Africa is the central location in the series.
It is also the spot where the fate of the Keppel family is sealed and where their future will be decided too.
As in a classic family saga, there are different storylines that come together in the last episode. There is the story of the crime once committed for which forgiveness has to be begged; the story of the true love between the eldest son Henk Jr and the pretty Shelley; the story of the battle for the farm and the story of Henk’s obsession to make the best wine in the world.
Protagonist Henk Jr and his sister Betty are continually confronting each other with their incompatible interests while they both really want to do what is best.
Guilt and penance, love and death - all these storylines come together with one question: who has a right to the land of Arkadia?

Last Say On SundaysPremiere date: Sunday, 5 April 2009 at 21h00
Hosted by actor and comedian Darren Maule, Last Say On A Sunday is a mixture of satirical commentary, real interviews and spoof correspondence with the show's team of “experts”.
Each week the showopens with a brief comic monologue that rounds up the week’s events and offers social commentary - in a similar way to shows like Late Night with David Letterman, Jay Leno or Conan O’Brien.
Besides corresponding with its team of spoof specialists and experts, Darren will also conduct interviews with the biggest news maker of the week, columnists and opinionated individuals.
The show will play out with an original, humorous song written by a South African musical talent.
Correspondents include Dennis Becket, Mark Banks, David Kibuuka and Stuart Taylor.
The show is filmed in front of a live studio audience who interact with Darren and also have their say.

Matthew Perry stars as Matt Bailey, a free-spirited, if somewhat lazy, 22-year-old freelance journalist enjoying the good life at home with his indulgent mom Grace (Marian Mercer).
He wasn't so concerned about completing his ascent into full-fledged adulthood, nor was in a hurry to get out on his own, until his older, recently divorced sister Vanessa (Diana Canova) returned home with her two kids so they could pick up the pieces to get a fresh start.
The unexpected arrangements force Matt to take some crash courses in responsibility, to not only help out around the house, but to be a good role model to his niece Abby (Anndi McAfee) and nephew Lucas (Scott McAfee), with whom he had particularly close bond.
Matt's struggle to maintain his wild, free-living lifestyle while facing his new realities is the focus of the show.
Matt's other world includes his job at a newspaper, inhabited by his co-worker and best friend Walter Peters (Dan Schneider), foxy photographer Laura (Brooke Theiss and their gruff editor, Ben Brookstone (Alan Oppenheimer).
