Coming up on
Top Billing tonight (25 June 2009):
Patricia Lewis and David Hasselhoff
Dhiveja meets up with Patricia Lewis and David Hasselhoff at eco game lodge Thaba Ya Batswana and chats to them over an African inspired meal about their history, the importance of their long standing friendship, how he made contact with her again after so many years, Patricia's health concerns and their much talked about duet together.
The show also sits in on a Radio interview with the old friends and watches them perform a short concert at Monte Casino.
Jason Hartman (
This was previously scheduled to be on on 11 June)
An inside scoop on Idol's co-winner Jason Hartman's life. Top Billing catches up with him in the recording studio in Jozi to chat to him about life after Idols, his childhood in Natal, family dynamic, performing on stage etc.
Dhiveja spends time with Jason and his mom in Jozi while they cook Jason's favourite dish - chicken pie, before heading to the golf course for a game.
Jason also takes the show around his hometown Howick in Natal where he (and Pixie - who came seventh in Idols) recently received the freedom of the city - the last to receive this was Nelson Mandela.
Also: Jason and his musical father and brother perform a jamming session.
Carrol Boyes
Top Billing takes a look at a day in the life of Carrol Boyes to see how she works magic with Pewter. Nico visits Carrol at her showroom to find out how she's captured the spirit of Rugby in Pewter with the design of her newly commissioned trophy for the British and Irish Lions tour of South Africa.
The show also takes a peek into Carrol's private sanctuary. In the middle of a global recession Carrol Boyes is celebrating 20 years of success and she reveals how she manages to continue to exceed expectations in the industry with her stores in New York, Jeddah and Perth.
Ka 'ingo Private Game Reserve
The owners of Ka'ingo private game reserve have been given the opportunity to restore the land to what it was before farmers destroyed the indemic fauna and flora.
In the past few years they have restored the veld and re introduced the animals that occurred naturally in this area- cheetah, leopard, lion, buffalo, rhino etc. They pride themselves on responsible tourism and invited Top Billing to witness and explore the importance of conservation.
Renowned conservationist, Clive Warker, impressed this importance upon us and took us to a ancient rock art site. Ka'Ingo Main Lodge is situated in the center of the Ka'Ingo Private Reserve and is a true oasis surrounded by bush and mountains. This gem of the Bushveld is an ideal retreat for the more refined traveler who prefers both privacy and exclusivity.
Top Billing is on SABC3 on Thursdays at 19h30
