As
broken by TVSA last month, radio shlock-jock
Gareth Cliff has been secretively working on a new talk show for M-Net.
Today (20 August) the paycaster confirmed that the show is definitely in production and going ahead with a TX premiere date set for Wednesday, 23 September 2009 at 20h00.
The format: each week Gareth will cover a different controversial topic, give his take and opinions on it; and debate it with three guests and a live studio audience.
The show is produced by Imani Media and directed by longtime director Bobby Heaney - which worries us a lot. He directed
Laugh Out Loud too and you know how unbelievably bad that was.
Still, Gareth Cliff is involved with the production too and has apparently been working on the idea with Heaney for the past five years.
All in all we think it could turn out to be a scoop for the channel - so long as Gareth is allowed to be true to form without being censored when he decides to talk about God, which we hope he will.
The first season runs for 13-episodes.
