Meet the BBA4 Housemates

Twelve brand new housemates took up residence in the Big Brother Africa 4 house last night - and all of them are men.

Thankfully it's only a temporary development - host IK announced that the women will be arriving next week, which means we can expect a bunch of the boys to be given the boot pretty soon.

According to the rumour mill, there will be 12 women arriving next week - we can't confirm this, but we do know there's going to be an early elimination, because there's a nomination show tonight.

Obviously the idea is to keep viewers guessing about how it's all going to play out - in the meantime we've compiled bios of all 12 housemates, with brief previews below.

To think I cut short my social life to watch the opening ceremony and only to be disappointed. This is the problem when you try too hard to turn things around. Nothing works same with BB thing nothing worked for me. Will give it a chance though, I maybe surprised.

5 guys have to go to make way for 7 girls.

The twins are not in the running, they are not permanent. They are just there for 3 weeks. If they go three weeks unnoticed - I think they will get something (prize).

If the twins go, we are left with 10 guys. Then 1 from Uganda and 1 from Kenya has to go as well. So in total 4 guys are out.

My sources reveal that he apparently withdrew coz UCT does not want to grant him deferred exams. hOWEVER, With the confidentiality clause in BBA, i fail to believe why he would have done an interview prior to the launch of BBA. I think it is costs and infrastructure, not that other countries wont manage but I guess it makes it easier for Multichoice to do the show here. also they get a lot of sponsorships here...
