We all remember the noord street drama about that woman who was harrassed for having exercised her right to let her legs be stroked by some fresh air ie she wore a mini. It's every woman's right to wear what she wants, so long as she's not exposing her tits and a** right? Right, forgot there are nude beaches out there and that's where one can expose all. Regardless, as long as you are dressed decently, no one has a right to accuse you of public indecency.

I like mini's. Mini dresses, short shors (hot pen LOL) mini skirts you name it. Especially now as it's summer.

Perfect for any occasion. Some might even get away with this in the workplace, if you have the right bod for it, which she does.

Like I said I like my mini's but only once or twice in a year will you find me rocking one at work.

the look will look better with a jacket or a cardigan for work.

Basically, there's clothes one should leave for at home and/or parties and clubs etc. I mean I have lots of clothes I would NEVER dream of wearing to work, no matter how "informal" the environment is. It's just common corporate sense. Unless you work at a very informal place like a radio station, a bar, a modelling agency etc.

Today's my 2nd time this year rocking something similar to this. Ofcourse if you know me you'd know I'm a bit conservative so no ways will you find me wearing something like this (especially at work) with no pantyhose or leggings.

Whoever came up with these is an absolute genius! They just bring so much to an outfit - a bit of glamour, intrigue, style...it's just so beautiful and sexy at hte same time. Not to mention it gives a bit of "modesty" to the mini LOL.

Not to mention the colours and style one can find...

some with nice bodies and them skinny ones can also now get away with just wearing leggins with a top like this. Sadly I don't think I can get away with this.

A woman today was sent back home because she came to work wearing one such top with no stocking and no leggings nada. Unfortunately (or fortunate) I didn't see her. But everyone was going on about how wrong it was - I hear she's not exactly small either. Problem with our company is it's a very big place and everyone's here in this building, from very low level to top management.

What do you consider appropriate (decent) when it comes to mini's and what places/events are suitable for what kind of mini?

NNa Kfab im very Well built(LOL and yes its true hhayi bandla ngimi kahle) curves and bums, figure and alles LOL ... im wear between size 28 and 30 and medium height ... I do have them mini's (dresses, skirts and real short shorts(dunno the name)) But I WILL NEVER EVER wear them at works Never ... i do rock them Only at home without leggins(SP) ...and only wear then to malls or wherever with leggins .... i just cant wear them at works Never ... BTW my work environment is very relaxed, some ppl do rock them but i cant

I am a sucker for anything short, skirts, little dresses, shorts. I just like showing off what ma momma gave me. I have beautiful beautiful long legs and i do justice to these short pieces. my favourite piece is this little short white dress with black polka dots. it just brings out the little girl in me. My motto when buying skirts, dresses & pants; either long or short. i don't do medium anything. You will never spot me at work in anything short because they are really short.

I wish i ahd the Bod to carry them , i only wear with leggins as well, i am planning on hitting the beach over christmas so i am on a serious deit now so i can rock a bikini.

I also work in a very relaxed environment, but i find it hard to be casual all the time so its heals and power suits for me, only wear shorts on seriously hot days

i love mini
i have 2 i rock them
they can come in handy at times *wink*

i wont come to the office even if they paid me or it is a costume party
i like it when a lady with nice legs is showing them off
i hate it when a lady with zebra skin (silver stripes) and jelly clafs is wearing mini
i also hate it when a lady is wearing a mini and you see a spejeje peeping at the bottom of a tank top...

mara why batho ba iketsa di fashion slaves so?

All the ladies up there are beautifull....
But i love pants, i feel naked in a skirt nommater how long....and i wear leggings...inside my pants......
I do wear shorts indoors.....and subconciously i put trackpants on top of them.....
I dont even think i know what my legs look like.......

I love shorts and skirts on other people. I have a HOT!!! Body aswell mara I just choose the occassion to wear these things. If I'm going to the cricket or a picnic a very relaxed environment. But I won't wear that at clubs because you just need to dress it up and it can be a disaster.

it gets stranger ke BA.....i find a way to wear pants ka di formal events, i just pimp the top and gosh i dont like heels too...but i try-nyana...
Irefused to go to a church dinner (2moro...still in the process of refusing) because they insist on dresses....sends shivers down my spine....i need prayers..

ooooh...im beatboxing now too Sslave...we're on to something here....i know a guy who knows a guy who knows oprah and oprah knows j-zee...*wink*....

I dont wear mini's as I do not have a body for it, even if I had a perfect mini body I would not wear them at work.

My work environment is very mixed masala u wear what u want.

I was in KZN the past week and I wore hot pants to the beach and I dont think i looked horrible, if I looked horrible sorry to the people who were subjected to my sight, LOL

i also would die if i rocked shorts to work, i wud feel so un comfortable no matter how hot it is, but at home i rock them every now and then but sometimes i worry about how i look n i'm not even that big coz i were size 28 and 30 but after two kids you do worry.

Hubby and l visited my mamazala this one time and on sunday when we were about to leave i put on my shorts and a t shirt coz it really gets hot when u travel long distance and my mom in law was like, hhaw awuqgokanga phela wena.

I miss the days when I could wear minis...now I have a scar on my leg and one on my thigh and I'm huge...so no minis for me noma kuphi.

I used to work with people who wore those legging tops without the leggings in Dbn...the guys came in vests and clam diggers too...my boss had a navel ring and a boob job....there were about 600 people in the office, most of them young. So we saw everything that was in fashion...weird coloured contact lenses, hair in every colour and style.Dress code 'comfortably'...we even had the inappropriate t-shirt day... How I miss that company!
