Born For This!

I am one of those people that believe that when work is good, we need to recognize.

I found myself crying a little on Friday night listening to a certain song they played on LIVE. First of all, I ended up watching that show just coz I fell asleep on the couch and when I woke up it was playing. I then decided to grab a tub of ice cream and watch it anyway.

After they played Khuli Chana’s No More Hunger (yes, i just had to say that) they put on what I think is one of the best things that have happened to the SA music in the past twelve months. Its just a pity that these are some of the songs that are often given a miss as most people go after songs like aboJezebel and other Durban one-liner songs with videos of naked girls, cheap champagne and hired limousines. Anyway, that’s a full blog on its own.

Today I bring you a song called “Born For This” sung by HHP, Teargas and Liquideep. Im serious when I say I found myself even shedding a tear and all I could say really was…. wow!. A friend of mine put a link of the video on his FB yesterday and all he said was.. “music doesn’t get better than this” and I couldn’t agree with him more. WOW!

More that the song having such beautiful beats, a great melody and a perfect synergy of all these people’s voices, it speaks on the subject that is totally close to my heart: Passion!

Here's the video (They say it was directed by Justin Campos from Gorilla Films. And was shot in Randburg)

I bow!

i am not offended as a Durbanite i am just commenting general its a pity how Durban boys won so many awards wid oneliner songs???, it implies not everone notice that, and apart from that Kwaito music has always been like that frm the tym i started listerning to that music mind u even ages ago before the durban boys were in the picture i never bother to buy that kind of music i still enjoy my old music abo Michael Bolton ect. u are 100% by saying that's a debate on it own because as far as their music is being called oneliner i enjoy it, the words may have no meaning but i enjoy the beats and if my i will always support my homeboys ....no offence

Yes, Ntoko Im saying exactly that. That good music like aboMichael Bolton are never really popular. It's the one-liners that are catchy and therefore get more attention.
