Alright, I have been quite a regular viewer of Channel 198 this year. So much that I even went to the eviction show this past Sunday. I should say though this season is not entirely as exciting as All Stars and BBA4, it is rather interesting to watch, shem. The blurb Mnet uses for it says... and I must say, that is almost true.
Yha, South Africa has got two faces in the house and they are both up for possible eviction this week. The celebrity face is Clayton or rather, Luclay, and the “ordinary” is a girl they call Nkuli.
Now, before one of them (
read Nkuli) goes home, I just wanted to take a closer look at their relationship. It has been clear from the day Big Brother divided the housemates into two houses that, there is major chemistry between these two. When he entered the house, Luclay said he was involved and he spoke about his girlfriend so much one would think he had been threatened by the girl. Some kind of... “don’t dare mess up or i’ll tell Africa your deep dark secrets”. He was missing the girl so much in the first week, but the past two weeks he has been craving more for cigarettes than anything else.
Luclay has got this I don’t care attitude that says, “I’m not really in this house because I am poor. I just thought I’d take a break and come relax. Besides, i can make money any other way” To cement this attitude, we saw him staying away from nominating anyone this week and rather putting himself up for possible eviction.
Nkuli, on the other hand, is a.... eish, I don’t even know how to describe her. Let’s just say, besides her signature orgasmic laugh, she is a young woman who seems more scared than anything else. Or perhaps she is overwhelmed by the whole BBA experience. Most of the times she comes across as having an “i don’t believe im here moment”, shem.
The two South Africans have developed a very interesting relationship. They are quite strange around each other, I should tell you. There was a time last week when they were playing in Nkuli’s bed, and they got so physical it became almost scary. But at that moment, Luclay was still in girlfriend mode and he would be heard saying,, “why are you touching me, i have a girlfriend”. Poor Nkuli.
I find their relationship very interesting. You know when you know you should be taking things further, you feel so strongly about each other, but there is just so much happening that you keep holding back but then holding back just makes the feeling stronger. They come soo close, then they drop it. They are just trying too hard not to “go there”.
Fact is Nkuli kinda still sees Luclay as “that guy from Tshisa”, so though she is quite smitten, she’s acting like a good small town girl and is determined she will not fall for a ‘celebrity’, on TV, nogal. They look like two monkeys sometimes, following each other everywhere they go. Take the other night, for instance. Nkuli announces that she’s going to sleep. There goes Luclay behind her, carrying her small blanket. They get to Nkuli’s bed, Luclay makes himself comfortable while Nkuli changes into pjs. Then she comes to the bed as if she’s gonna jump in.. but then she has a change of heart and she takes a wet wipe and goes to the mirror. For a good 5 minutes she was wiping her face while Luclay sits in bed. Then he decides.. eish, maybe this wasn’t a very good idea.. he gets up, picks up his shoes and says goodnight. She decides to escort him. They first go downstairs, have a 3-minute-long hug by the stairs, then go to Luclay’s bed. They both jump in, but 2 minutes into it Nkuli decides, you know what... this is too much, lemme just go to my own bed. Very cute, if you ask me.
Dear addict, Are you
#teamNkuClay? Do you think these two should just get it over and done with? Is there something there, that they need to explore?
Do you think their relationship would last if they gave it a chance (
never mind Luclay’s girlfriend, he’s no longer acting like he’s got one, they might be done already. Nami if my boyfriend went into the house and only spoke about me in the first week, I’d dump his a$$)
They are both up for eviction this week, mina I have used up my 10 Mxit votes on Luclay. I think he deserves to stay in the house a little longer. His attitude is what the game needs. Everyone is so serious... making sure they play properly and that just results in them not playing at all. Luclay keeps the controversy in the house. From the way he speaks to BigBrother (he called him a cunt) to the way he speaks to the housemates (he had a run-in with Karen over nominations when he said he’s got his own back and if he had to leave the house next week, he’d go straight back to his job)
So yha, lets see what happens this weekend. I did say I went to see last week’s Eviction Show where Namibian Jossy was the first one to be eliminated. I need to give props to the Botswana guys that performed. They are called Scar and Vee and I thought they really know what they are on about.
Scar and Vee
Jossy about to hear his fate
The "upload pics" function has been acting up all week. Otherwise I'd put up a few more pics from the show. I'l try again..
