Will Smith was one of three guests on The Graham Norton show on Friday night, chatting about Men In Black 3D - which was released here at the end of May.
Men In Black I and II will be airing on SONY this month. MIB I will be on Friday, 15 June and II will be on Saturday the 16th. Both start at 20h30.
Will was joined by Gary Barlow (Take That) and Tom Jones, who's currently a coach on the UK version of The Voice and didn't say much. It was odd because he's a "Sir" and yet Graham asked him a lot less than the other two.
With all the jubilation going on surrounding the Queen, their chatter moved to the royals and Will spilt a bizarre story that exposed Charles as the Fresh Prince of Britain.
Turns out Charles - and the entire royal family very probably - doesn’t watch sex scenes in movies. Yip, believe it.
Will said that he was sitting next to Charles at the London premiere of Ali and when the lurve scene came up between him and his wife someone tapped Charles on the shoulder, he dropped his head down and stopped watching. Then, once it was over, the same person tapped him again, he looked up and started watching again. Ha!
Will exclaimed the details with a quip saying: “I’m thinking ... ’Yo’ man, it’s my best work. He messed the movie up for himself!”
Everyone on the show was as surprised as I was - obviously no-one else has dished about it but it’s clearly what he does while watching movies in public. Why?
At first I thought it might be that he blushes and does it to avoid embarrassment but then I thought maybe it just isn’t the “done thing”. Could be that it’s seen as improper or impolite for a royal to watch.
So what do they do when it’s only them in audience? Keep watching I imagine. Ultimately it seems the royals have
much more fun watching movies in the privacy of their castle.
