SA's Got Talent has added
another new personality to the upcoming third season: comedian Tats Nkonzo who'll be hosting the season solo.
As
previously spilt on TVSA, e.tv decided to replace former presenters
Anele Mdoda and
Rob van Vuuren as the channel felt that they represented SABC2 too strongly.
At the time e.tv told TVSA that the channel wanted to find someone who suits the vibe of the broadcaster. Clearly the powers-that-be have been impressed by Tats in
Late Nite News - he's been putting in appearances in the latest season.
Tats landed his break during the first season of SABC1's comedy reality search
So You Think You're Funny! He made the Top 8 and once the show ended he was asked to tour with the Top 3 from the season.
He's subsequently gone on to open for both Nik Rabinowitz and
Loyiso Gola and he'll be appearing on the first Blacks Only DVD. Most recently he won The Breakthrough Act Award at the 2nd Annual South African Comics Choice Awards 2012.
Here's more about him from an intimate interview he did with
Jolene Martin-Morgan earlier this year:
