Our Perfect Wedding returns for another season with a new presenter
Mzansi Wethu’s wedding reality show Our perfect Wedding returns on Wednesday, 18 September at 19:00 and this time around with the vivacious Brenda Ngxoli at the helm.
Ngxoli takes over from Season 1 host Thuli Thabethe, “My heart is bittersweet to leave OPW," says Thuli. "It was the first show I started and ran with from the beginning. It helped me make the transition from actress to presenter, an all-new journey which I thoroughly enjoyed. With the wedding season upon us once more it means more travel for the second season, but due to my studies the two schedules clashed and finishing my degree is a priority right now,” she says laughingly.
The role of Our Perfect Wedding Season 2 host is one that is special to the elated Brenda, “It is almost every girls dream to get married. As a single unmarried lady I saw this as a blessing and opportunity for me to learn about the marriage institution as well as African culture at large,” she says.
Brenda began her acting career in theatre, performing in shows like Pick Ups directed by Chris Weare, Docs Wife, I-Klips and Sacred Thorn and Yes Medem, both of which were directed by Warona Seane and ran at the Grahamstown Festival of the Arts in 2004. Since then she has starred in television shows like Molo Fish 2, Interrogation Room, Tsha Tsha and the International Emmy-nominated Home Affairs.
With the start of a new season, there is plenty to look forward to, “I am looking forward to travelling and meeting new people, and finding out secrets to successful loving relationships that make it to altar. I want to bring truth, love and honesty to the show as well as riveting excitement as we witness two souls join in holy matrimony,” adds Brenda.
Our Perfect Wedding is a reality television show that gets up close and personal with twelve unique couples across South Africa.
