So The Amazing Race 17 takes over from Survivor on SABC3 tonight in new reality time slot of 20h30 instead of 20h00. I won't say that it's a new season because as we all know, SABC3 insists on being eons behind with TAR and Survivor.
Still,
according to reality fundi Cloud 9 it's a cool season so it sounds as if it'll be worth a watch. I missed it when it aired on SONY so I'm gonna tune in to see what happens when they negotiate the Arctic.
Teams have to cross the Arctic circle for the first time in the history of the race. According to wiki, the coldest recorded temperature in the area = minus 68 degrees.
Teams also start off from a different location than usual. They usually start in Los Angeles but they'll starting from Masachusetts instead.
