Muvhango couple Tsholofelo Monedi and Dingaan Mokebe have parted ways. The Muvhango stars have been dating for over four years. Makisto has it on high esteem that Dingaan was immediately smitten when Tsholofelo replaced the old Meme. Dingaan admitted to Drum magazine in 2007 that he was going to befriend the new Meme on a personal level to make their work easy.
Love on set is over: Dingaan and Tsholofelo are no longer an item
Little did we know that he will make her more than just friends. You see, because of the nature of my work, I respect them. I have in the past called the two of them o talk about their love and they asked me to respect their privacy and I did just that. Yesterday the Sunday Sun reported that the two are no longer seeing each other. The paper alleges that Dingaan cheated on Tsholo, whom they have a child together and she wouldn't have any of it and called it quits. The paper goes on to allege that Tsholo is now seeing a Metro FM DJ.
When called for comment, Dingaan only confirmed that it's over between them and wouldn't shed any light on the alleged cheating and was only willing to say, he cannot say things that will suit him and Tsholo needs to give her side of the story. Tsholo said she didn't want to discuss her personal life and doesn't owe the media and the public anything.
Mina ke shem, I would love this lady to bits and will ensure we sort out ama issues wethu, but then again, what do I know?
I am just saddened because mina shem I am of the opinion that the two make a great couple, both on and off set. Akere on the show Meme is James's ex. I wish them all the best with their love endevours. Love is unfathomable and mina ke shem, I don't know what love is and the only thing I am sure of about it is that love hurts. I think being single is best.
Mini brand scoring big: Minnie is going higher and higher
Congratulations to Minnie Dlamini who is building a brand out of her name. The mini star is set to be the new face of Legit. Yes baby, this is the same store that Bonang and Noni Gasa were the faces of. Sunday World reports that Minnie will be unveiled as the new face of the chain store on 8 September. Hush, you can never put a good woman down.
Lucky to be alive: Edward survived mugging gun drama
Aih ke, what has South Africa come to mara hhmm? Why can't we all work and earn an honest living? Even if you work as a petrol attendant or a cleaner in a mall, you are still making money hle black people. I am saying this because Edward nearly got shot, reports the Sunday World. He was mugged on gunpoint and had he not pleaded not to be killed, he would have met the same fate that met our fallen star Lucky Dube. We are happy for Mpho Tsedu for having made it out alive. God is great nina yazi.
To accept nomination or not: You be the judge
The Sunday Times reports that Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke isn't interested in becoming the next Chief Justice of the country. The Judicial Service Commission appears to be favouing him over President JZ's choice of Judge Mogoeng Mogoeng. Those against Judge Mogoeng argue that he hasn't delivered any note worthy sentencing and that since he is some sort of a homophobe and an ordained pastor of a very traditionally religious church, he may step on the rights of homosexuals.
ANC in-fighting aint new, mocks Zapiro
Moving right along, mina yazi I am just sick and tired of the media taking on Juju now. As if the alleged tender strings are not enough, President JZ and ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe are allegedly in a bid to muzzle Juju by stripping him of his king making powers. This comes after reports that Juju is pushing for former ANCYL President and now Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula to become the ANC's Secretary General come 2012. Juju is also on a mission to bring a new President and oust JZ in 2012's national elective conference of the ruling party. It is also worth mentioning that next year, the ANC will be celebrating its century in existance.
Regime change talks: Modelling or vocal, you politicise
Those in the know allege that JZ fears Juju and the Botswana comments disciplinary action is a bid to weaken the king maker. ANCYL has come out subtly with its guns blazing saying if Juju is charged for Botswana regime change comments, then the entire league must be charged coz those comments were made as a collective and not by Juju as an individual.
Not only does the DA want to rule, given the recent media reports, we can safely assume they also want to engage in tender strings, akere some allege they are jealous of Malema
DA's Helen Zille has defended some multi-million rand tender in the Western Cape. Mina shem their story is boring me and I haven't followed it. However, I do know that the Sunday Times got their facts wrong in terms of billions instead of million as they only worked on estimations on their story and not the exact figures. The paper apologised to the DA on front page for getting the figure wrong. However, the tender is still fishy and it seems there is some corruption in the DA. It just goes to show, whether Black or White people are in power, curruption will still be rampant. Is it true that our hero Thuli Madonsela will be investigating the DA's tender deal? I say let's dance to her investigation like something else...
Rare Destiny: Redi is on Destiny cover again since 2008
Redi Thlabi is currently on the cover of Destiny mag. I didn't subscribe to the mag so I just had to buy it on the shelves. Redi talks about her business and her media company which produces Redi on Mzansi. She also says she would like to give up 80% of what she is doing to have children. In the mag, Redi also talks in great detail about her radio show and how her week looks like.
Mina I thought I was busy because I have so many roles I am playing, I have a job, I blog, I freelance, I am studying, I am a father, I gym twice daily and that consumes my time. I wonder how Redi manages to do all she does and still participate in marathons and charity events. Oh ok, konje she isn't a mom yet. Tjo wena, being a parent is a full time job.
It's a Fresh World: DJ Fresh talks business
I was so happy when I found DestinyMan in my mailbox last week. DJ Fresh is on the cover of the magazine and he talks about his work, company and how he puts a positive spin on things. Mina ke shame, I am in love with DestinyMan, it's an empowering magazine, at least for me. I think since the Drum magazine has recveived a lot of criticism from its readers, it can tailor-make some of Destiny's editorial content to suits its target readers. Drum readers are crying out for empowering articles in the mag.
Fresh also talks about how he experiences some sort of Afrophobia from really professionals in the industry coz he’s from Botswana. He also talks about the DJ Fresh Foundation which helps with bursaries to academically deserving student and talks about love and his love for developing South Africa. I wonder if DestinyMan didn’t feature him on the cover after Drum mag had him on their cover earlier this year.
Drum editor: Khosi wants to be famous too
Still on Drum, mina ke shem I don't know why a magazine's Facebook page would have a glam picture of its editor instead of the mag logo or the current cover of the mag. It doesn't make sense. What happened to brand identity and speaking in one voice when it comes to collateral material? It seems to me that someone's role model is Khanyi Dlomo CEO of Ndalo Media. Khanyi can put herslef on the cover of her magazine at any given time and it sells like hot cakes. Is someone wanting to fill those big shoes?
