Idris Elba
Madiba never had a chance to see the final cut of the film ‘
Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’ - he died at the age of 95 on December 5
th 2013, the very day that the film premiered in London.
Now, British actor Idris Elba speaks candidly to Carte Blanche about everything from becoming Mandela to play his part in the film, to how the press and members of the Mandela and British Royal families attending the premiere, found out that the global icon had passed away.
