24-year-old Altovise Lawrence won the first season of BET's Top Actor SA in June this year and now she's been signed to host the network's latest local series BET Buzz.
It premieres on BET and BET 2 on the 1st of Spring and covers a daily dose of entertainment news and gossip from across Africa and internationally.
She'll be co-hosting with singer and DJ Tamarsha Khanyile, who made her TV debut on RGB and Selimathunzi last year after winning the Metro FM Awards Black Carpet Presenter Search. They won't be hosting together but will alternate daily.
According to BET, the series is going to cover a 50/50 split of African and international news. Episodes will be taped in a studio in Joziburg and will cut to inserts on TV and movie stars, movie premieres, red carpet gossip, award shows, charity initiatives, celebrity news, concerts, tours and schleb spats.
It will air weekdays on BET and BET 2 at 19h00 and 19h50 respectively (CAT), with an omnibus on Saturdays: at 19h40 on BET and at 20h40 on BET 2.
