ONE GOSPEL REACH CHANGES
While ONE Gospel will no longer be available on DStv in East and West Africa or in any GOtv markets across Africa, the channel will still be still available in 10 Southern African countries via DStv (channel 331). The channel will reach the following countries; South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, Angola, Lesotho, Malawi, and Mozambique.
MultiChoice Africa recently announced that the move follows their regular assessment of the performance and viability of channels on its platform, and is in order to achieve a diverse variety of programming.
Of the announcement, Channel Head Reverend Abe Sibiya says, “We’d like to apologise and thank you, our loyal viewers in West and East Africa, for your continued support over the years. This decision is unfortunate, but is beyond our control.”
Despite the change in the channel’s reach, Sibiya has assured viewers in Southern Africa that ONE Gospel will continue to deliver the very best and latest gospel music.
As from 01 October, 2015 the channel will offer a fresh new channel line-up with a strong music focus. ONE Gospel will offer viewers even more local gospel music, additional shows that incorporate musical elements, a revamped music playlist and the latest industry events.
