Minki van der Westhuizen's only been back in South Africa for two months and she's already Minki van der Boer. She's been living in London for the past five years, returned in December last year and she's been signed as a host immediately.
She'll be replacing Nadia Beukes as host of kykNET's reality dating show Boer Soek 'n Vrou when it returns for it's ninth season later this year.
Nadia's leaving the show for the new, soapified Getroud Met Rugby which starts on the channel in April so she's too busy analysing rugga buggas and isn't able to do the show anymore. Nadia's reprising her role as sports psychologist Iva on Getroud' which requires a lot more time from her than when it was a weekly series so her schedule's too packed to continue with Boer Soek 'n Vrou.
The new season starts filming with Minki shortly, with a new crop of farmers looking to sew their wild oats before settling down. Word from kykNET is that loads of farmers applied to be on the season - there's an endless supply of them apparently - so there should be a good selection for their potential wives to choose from.
The season premieres on 13 October at 20h30.
