MaAshes... it's almost time for the Namanes to rise from the ashes to continue their saga for Season 2.
Ashes to Ashes returns to e.tv on Monday, 14 March at 20h00 and blasts back with new power dynamics, the addition of new characters and
six SAFTA noms.
The season begins where Season 1 ended, picking up after Tsietsi's crazed gun spree and the aftermath.
More grim family secrets are going to come to light as the season unfolds and they're going to shatter the family even further.
Some of the storylines we can expect include scandalous moments that lead to the truth about the father of Mpho’s baby being revealed.
Also, a series of events are going to threaten the very existence of the funeral parlour and love and unity are going to put to be the test when Selo makes a life changing decision which results in regret and despise.
The introduction of three new main characters gives the season a fresh edge with the addition of Tina Jaxa, Atandwa Kani and Nandi Nyembe.
Tina plays Nokulunga Rhadebe, Mandlakazi’s estranged and feisty cousin and Atandwa plays Buzwe Sihlahla, Tsietsi’s no nonsense lawyer who he's obviously going to need a
lot. Nandi Nyembe plays Menzi's mother - Detective Nkonzo’s mother, Ma Nkonzo, who has a score to settle with the Namanes.
They join the Season 1 cast who are returning in a blitz. Those who'll be back include Patrick Shai (Selo), Nambitha Mpumlwana (Mandlakazi), Zenande Mfenyana (Reba), Menzi Ngubane (Detective Nkozo), Nyaniso Dze Dze (Tsietsi), Chumani Pan (Monwabisi), Nyalleng Thibedi (Mpho), Craig Urbani (Mickey), Maggie Benedict (Violet), Mandla Gaduka (Damien) and Stitch played by Richard Lukunku.
