The exodus of soapie stars continues at a rapid rate - there's almost one a day!
The latest actress to announce her exit from soapieville is Connie Chiume, who will be retiring her role as Rhythm City's Mamokete Khuse after almost 10 years on the show.
It's a significant departure because Connie is one of the original cast members who made her first appearance on the very first episode of the soapie on 9 July 2007.
Connie will continue to act and will also be pursuing her other love: farming, which she's been passionate about for a long time.
"This departure will allow me to pick up on things that were left undone," says Connie. "I am grateful for the time and experience with Rhythm City and e.tv. I believe I was born to be an actress, it’s in my blood. Parting is such sweet sorrow, and I will miss my Rhythm City family.”
Her final episode airs on Wednesday, 20 April.
